There are 2 polished restaurants; afternoon tea is available. Other amenities include a high-end spa, a fitness centre, a heated indoor pool and a tennis court, plus meeting/event space.

The hotel is exceptional in every way but above all the staff, in particular James and Emilia were so welcoming and attentive. There is beautiful art, gorgeous decor and attention to every detail. Location is fabulous for cbd, rocks and barangaroo So central but the road is quiet which gives the place a relaxed air.
The room service was spot on and generous. The best thing about our stay was being able to bring our dog to enjoy a luxury break too.
We also were able to take our little French bulldog and they treated her like a princess. Very accommodating.
Sheets, pillows, lots of towels and water. The staff who say welcome back when you return after a day out. The hotel offer that your dog can stay. The room that was clean twice a day.
The staff who were lovely and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The flowers and decor. The crystal glasses and the candies!!
My husband and I stayed here for a date night and it was just beautiful! What a great hotel.
It is also very child-friendly as well as pet-friendly. The room service menu includes items for infants under 18 months, children above 18 months and even pets!

What is particularly nice, as a pet dog owner, you are able to bring your dog along for a stay as long as it is a small one-as I recall your dog needs to be under 20 kgs – Mr Depp’s Pistol and Boo would make the grade I think. We didn’t bring our Labradoodle however we are tempted for next time.

These small things add up to making your stay a positive experience. Do they need to do these things in a hotel, probably not as it’s not a core aspect of operations. Do they make a difference – yes they do. A true positive.

The Hughenden Boutique Hotel

The Hughenden Boutique Hotel is surrounded by a variety of antique and art galleries. It is also close to some of Sydney’s famous entertainment and sporting venues such as the Sydney Cricket Ground, Aussie Stadium and the Hordern Pavilion.

Warmly decorated rooms feature flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and minifridges, plus tea and coffeemaking equipment; most have air-conditioning. Upgraded rooms add sitting areas, and a family room offers a kitchenette. A polished suite has a whirlpool bath and a balcony. Room service is available.

Continental breakfast is complimentary. There’s an airy cafe, a cosy bar and a terrace.

Convenient location, dog friendly.
Great atmosphere . Friendly helpful staff. Love the lounge / bar area.
So close to everything. Walk to cafes etc. Has a fun busy vibe.
Some dog friendly rooms too.
I stayed at the Hughenden with my dog whilst travelling for work. The hotel is lovely and unique and for the most part I really enjoyed my stay.
The hotel is pet friendly, in so far that they allow your pet to stay, but they don’t really provide any other pet friendly facilities beyond that.
For example, there is no grassy area on the hotel premise and you need to take your dog over to Centennial park to relieve themselves. As a solo female traveller, the idea of doing this at night made me pretty uncomfortable.
Secondly, when booking you have to book a ‘pet-friendly’ room, which costs more than a standard room. I thought that this might mean that they provide a kennel, or dog bowl, or just a little more space for your furry friend, but this is not the case.
I think if you are paying more than there should be something to show for it. If travelling without a pet it is great, if you have a pet this is just something to be aware of. Overall, a great stay.
The hotel and room were very comfortable and the courtyard was fabulous. I think the location in Woollahra was terrific as there are so many restaurants nearby and very easy access to M1 to easily get to the North of the city.
The architecture, beautiful streets and proximity to Centennial Park made it a terrific place to walk with the dogs. The staff were great and helpful. We loved it and would happily return to stay and recommend the Hughenden Boutique Hotel.

I loved everything about this hotel. The location, the service, staff were so helpful and friendly.

They accommodated for my dog which was great. We got all our washing done while we were there and were granted a late checkout. Good bags for us and our doggo. Free mini bar, spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable.

The restaurant could have been a little more dog friendly (we had to sit to the side).

This exceeded all my expectations of a dog friendly hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Our puppy got lots of fuss and all the little extras made our stay very enjoyable.

Ps: the dog friendly policy makes this a truly welcoming hotel!

There’s a leafy garden with seating and a kids’ play area. Breakfast is available.

It suited us perfectly! We had a small dog with us and they were able to accommodate us easily. The breakfast looked great, but unfortunately we missed it as we thought it ran later than it did!
Location was amazing and we walked across the Harbour Bridge in the morning!
The breakfast was exceptional value for money and very tasty. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help with any requests. The location is very good and Sydney centre can be reached easily by train from Milsons Point a 10 minute walk away or by ferry to Circular quay only 5 minute walk to the wharf. Tea and coffee are available free of charge throughout the day and a microwave if you want to do your own food.
The garden to the rear of the property has comfortable furniture for use by guests and even has a small play area for children.
The hotel is also dog friendly which is a plus for someone. I strongly recommend anyone to stay at Glenferrie.
Dog-friendly and with a good breakfast (cooked and continental) the Glenferrie is walking distance to the harbour foreshore, a longer walk to Kirribilli High Street for food and trains to the city and a stone’s throw from Kirribilli House, you know if you are casually visiting the PM.
As always the main attraction for me was the fact that Glenferrie has a few dog friendly rooms. It was a nice surprise though to find such reasonably priced decent accommodation so close to the ferries to Sydney. Kirribilli high street very close and chock full of cafes and bars and the area itself is safe, upmarket and very grand.
Beautiful views everywhere of the harbour, the bridge and the city skyline. A very filling buffet style of breakfast (bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, muesli, juices, toast etc and I did notice a number of people taking a doggie bag so that they had lunch for later on. Hope I haven’t ruined it for others by mentioning this little bonus.
A tad noisy at night listening to people dragging their luggage up and down the steps, but at least you could just be grateful that it isn’t you and snuggle down in the very comfortable, clean bed.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope I get to stay there gain one day.
