Flew into Brisbane to pick up a puppy from a breeder and drove back to Melb. We needed Pet Friendly accommodation for 3 nights which Houston Wagga was one.

Stunning renovated 100+ yo building. Stables and servant’s quarters repurposed into guest suites. Just beautiful, nice little sectioned off open space outside rooms, clean, good quality bedding.

2. BIG4 Wagga Wagga Holiday Park 3* – Dog Friendly Accommodation Wagga Wagga

Boasting an outdoor pool, BIG4 Wagga Wagga Holiday Park in Wagga Wagga offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive.

Every unit has a private bathroom and shower, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a microwave. There is a seating and a dining area in all units.

Guests can also relax in the garden.

Alongside the Murrumbidgee River, this laid-back holiday park off Highway A20 is 4 km from the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens and 2 km from the National Art Glass Gallery.

The unfussy cabins sleep up to 6 guests and provide kitchenettes, flat-screen TVs and porches, in addition to free Wi-Fi. There are also camping and caravan pitches.

Amenities include an outdoor saltwater pool, BBQ areas and a kids’ playground, as well as guest laundry facilities. Pets are welcome in some cabins.

Close to things congrats on starting out to be dog friendly so we were able to travel with our pets.

There is$15 per night per pet extra charge.

Rooms clean and well presented. Great to be able to take my dog. Friendly staff, great pool, children’s playground and location.

Liked the fact that we could park at the door for unpacking/packing the car. Dog friendly. The cabin was new and was very clean with good facilities.

The bedding was extremely comfortable and the shower was great. Bathroom and kitchen facilities were excellent. Our pet friendly cabin had everything we needed and the friendly staff went out of their way to help us when we arrived very late at night.

We would recommend this accommodation to families and those travelling with pets. The amazing tree at the front of the park is awesome.

3. Australian Homestead Motor Lodge 3* – Pet Friendly Accommodation Wagga Wagga

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant, Australian Homestead Motor Lodge is located 5 minutes’ drive from Wagga Wagga Airport and 10 minutes from the centre of Wagga Wagga. It offers rooms with free WiFi access and free parking.

All rooms feature a TV, a microwave, a refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. Each have an en suite bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and towels. Some rooms offer a spa bath or pool or garden views.

Has a one night stopover on our way home to Sydney, stayed in a dog friendly room, very clean and comfortable, staff were lovely.

After trying several different places in the area, i’m pleased to say we have found ideal accommodation for us to stop for a night or two.

The accommodation is perfectly good and it has the nice touch of it including breakfast. The main features we enjoyed is the pool and the playground which my young son loved. To cap it all off, it is pet friendly, so even the dog was happy!
