We booked a pet friendly room with our dog and it was spacious and comfortable. We needed to be close to the ferry and the room was in the city centre within walking distance of cafes and restaurants with a parking space also.
The decor was funky and original.
The staff were super helpful and accommodating.
They provided a dog bed, dog treats and a food bowl for us to use. Zippy loved his stay.
For the humans we were treated to lovely coffee, a welcome biscuit and a shower bomb.
The beds were very comfy and the room was warm and welcoming.
We’re definitely putting U boutique hotel on our list of places to stay next time we’re in Wellington.
Management were really accommodating about having our dog with us, nothing was an issue. We were able to take him for a walk up around the War Memorial where there was plenty of grassed area for him to stretch his legs.
The location of the hotel is excellent – a short 5 min walk into town where there are a a large number of bars and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean and the customer service exceptional.
We had an excellent experience and highly recommend U Boutique Hotel.
Nice apartment and having the dog stay was great. Good location , clean and everything was was as advertised. Easy check in and communication was good throughout. We would stay again if we head to Wellington.
Our little Maltese was so happy with the lovely big pet friendly room at U Boutique Hotel. I think there is only one pet friendly room, so it might pay to book early.
The owners are super nice people and my wife and I enjoyed our stay very much.
The hotel is very central and handy to most things.
The beds are so comfy, there is a fully equipped kitchen and the shower is great.

I like the idea that they had an option to bring pets, staff were super friendly and was a stress free experience all through. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet nice place for a great price.
Our studio unit had a big bed, full kitchen, luxury bathroom, dining table, TV etc. Heaps of room, amazingly quiet. Lovely welcome. Heaps of parking, Pet friendly and dog walking area. Children’s playground. And a cafe!
We were seriously impressed, especially given that the prices are very reasonable. If the other refurbished rooms are up to this standard, then wow, seriously WOW. We will be back on our next trip to Wellington.
We were a group of eight plus a dog and managed to split across just two family rooms (twin beds in the bedroom and double bed in the living room) at this motel.
The rooms are clean and modern with lots of facilities – big fridge / freezer, microwave and other kitchen equipment.
We didn’t make much use of it as we only stayed one night but it would be a great place to base yourself if in Wellington for a few days. Just a 10/15 minute drive into Wellington so really convenient.
Staff were really helpful and friendly.
I booked this motel purely because they accept dogs by agreement, and were a reasonable price. I didn’t have great expectations, but was very happy with the choice.
The place is slightly dated (think doilies) but was very clean and tidy, welcoming, and very spacious. Only 15 mins from the CBD, and a brand new New World supermarket just up the road added to the appeal.
We were extremely grateful to have our small, well behaved dog with us for Christmas, so can’t thank them enough for making this possible.

We were travelling with our wee dog and this was no issue. The bed was super comfy and staff were so lovely.
Pretty good location in Wellington, close enough to downtown without being in downtown. The apartment was lovely. The master bedroom was huge. The bathroom had an actual bathtub with a washer AND a dryer. Dryers were hard to come by.
The kitchen had everything we needed. Out of the back of our apartment was a ‘dog park’ area above the freeway that led to one of many of the city walking trails. Didn’t even hear the freeway.
Stayed with our two small dogs. Large apartment. Perfect for the dogs to be able to walk into grass.
There might be more modern places around, but it’s hard to beat the Terrace Villas’ handy and central location, the clean, spacious and well equipped rooms, and the cheerful staff.
Pretty quiet at that time of year, and there’s off street parking (maybe a charge) and a must for us – dog friendly. A comfortable and good place to stay.
Fantastic facilities and amazingly, pet friendly! Myself and my two pups found ourselves temporarily ‘evicted’ during some construction at our home, and the team at Terrace Villas rescued us and we were able to stay in a completely self contained unit.
The unit had everything you could need, I mean everything! It was wonderfully comfortable and impeccably clean.
The room was warm and quiet and the dogs loved the local dog park. I would not hesitate to return!
