Really friendly and welcoming of our dogs. The backyard terrace was ideal for pets. The location was great for us to easily walk to the beach and the city.

Great, spacious rooms with a good range of apartment facilities. The front desk and catering staff are very helpful and friendly, providing great service. Right across the road from the station and just off Crown street so convenient to get to.

Comfortable stay in a top floor balcony apartment. Service is limited from a breakfast/dining perspective but not a big issue given the location to restaurants etc.

Having an in room pod coffee machine would make the stay a bit more comfortable.

2. Southview Guest House 4* – Pet Friendly Accommodation Wollongong

Southview Guest House is a boutique guest house, where the property owners live on site. Guests enjoy the exclusive use of either a one-bedroom self-contained suite, or a standard room. There is an outdoor swimming pool and a children’s playground.

All accommodation is private, soundproofed and has its own private entrance. There are no internal communal areas.

All accommodation features air-conditioning, a flat-screen television, free WiFi, DVD player, iPod docking station, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, bath robes and slippers. The suite accommodation offers a kitchen.

The sea view suite has a hydrotherapy spa, private balcony, views of the mountains and beach. The garden view suite has a private courtyard. The king room has a small deck overlooking pool and backyard.

Easy access. Comfortable and quiet. Pet friendly. Two minute walk to Sandon Point Beach to walk the dogs (council times apply).

There was so much to like on the property, it’s hard to put it all into words. It was as comfortable as home. Everything was perfect, especially being able to bring our dog along for the holiday too.

I loved that I could take my dog with me. It is well equipped and lovely to have bathrobes and slippers. Great to be able to walk to beach and rock pools.

his guest house is exactly what it says,an outback section of a family home. At first we we’re really nervous about staying it what appeared to be a residential home with a family but once settled in it was suprisingly quiet and private. The room was really well presented with a small kitchenette with a huge bed, the only pitfall was the pillows which were all to soft,I’d suggest taking your own pillow to get a decent sleep.

If in that area again i would stay there again as its a reasonably priced room with a nice little yard which is also pet friendly.

Both the The Garden Suite & the Stop Over room were lovely places to stay and we were very appreciative that our small dog was allowed to stay with us.

The Garden Suite was welcoming, comfortable and warm with a well equipped kitchen and a courtyard which would be great in warmer weather.

Location was great for us as our family lives just up the road, and is within walking distance to the beach. We’re hopeful we can get the opportunity to stay here again and take proper advantage of the great facilities!

3. Lakeside Inn 3* – Wollongong Pet Friendly Accommodation

Perfectly positioned on the water’s edge of Lake Illawarra, the newly renovated Lakeside Inn offers convenient and comfortable rooms for all guests.

Located between Wollongong and Shellharbour, Lakeside Inn is the ideal place to stay for any traveller as both cities are only a short 15 minute drive away. The motel offers great facilities including a heated outdoor swimming pool, direct access to Lake Illawarra, conference space and enough room to accommodate small and large groups.

Lakeside Inn offers 41 spacious motel rooms, cabins and apartments, all including high quality and extremely comfortable A.H Beard mattresses, reverse cycle air-conditioning, flat screen TV, soundproof windows, bar fridge, microwave, kettle, complimentary tea and coffee, Wi-Fi access and eco-friendly bathroom amenity.

It was nice and clean and allowed our small dog on request. Bed was comfortable and great water pressure in the bathroom. Location was great for a nearby dog beach and restaurants a short drive away.

Clean room. Staff were friendly. Accomodating to allow pet dog.

Dog friendly, clean, no carpet, parking, ground level, close to shopping centre.

Was an excellent hotel, the room was just lovely and accommodated to us having our dog with us. Located in a great location with a great view. The rooms were a good size and well presented Would definitely recommend!
