Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew Temple. Nearby is Wat Pho Temple with an enormous reclining Buddha and, on the opposite shore, Wat Arun Temple with its steep steps and Khmer-style spire.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Siam Kempinski. My husband and I stayed a little over a week and we brought along our little furball kitty.
I general stay at St. Regis when I come to Thailand, but this time I needed a pet-friendly hotel that is convenient and comfortable.
We decided to try Siam Kempinski and ended up loving our stay. The staff is always respectful and friendly. The pool was relaxing and spacious.
The garden suite itself was top-notch. Furthermore, I enjoyed the golf cart service and how convenient it was to walk to Siam Paragon.
This would be perfect for future shopping trips. What I am most blown away about is the attention to detail.
At check-out, a staff member named Katherine drew a portrait of our cat and gave it to us as a gift.
Out of all the other pet-friendly hotels that I have stayed at, including Mandarin Oriental Miami, etc, this hotel definitely went above and beyond. Siam Kempinski will be my go-to hotel in Bangkok going forward.
We spent a wonderful week at Siam Kempinski, eating wonderful food and enjoying the wonderful pool and garden, as well as the very close proximity of Siam Paragon and Siam BTS station.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the reception. For personal reasons I try to extend my stay one more night and I was surprised with the way the handle the request and the outrageous room fees they ask 10 times the standard fees.

Why You Should Book Hotel Grand Mercure Bangkok Asoke Residence
Love my stay, it is such a pet friendly place. It was worth it to be there with my dog.
We live in the suburbs and will be using this hotel for weekends in the city centre particularly as we can bring our dog to this pet friendly hotel!
Breakfast was lovely on the rooftop too.
We booked this hotel as it was one of the few that accepted pets, not knowing what to expect.
When we got to the hotel, we were greeted by smiling concierge and staff, with even a little corner for our beloved furbaby in the large room, 97 sqm for the price we would have had to pay for half the size elsewhere.
The manager, staff and concierge were so polite and accommodating, and never made us feel odd for having a pet or odd to have a dog in the hotel and vicinity.
We were equally mindful and respectful of some other hotel guests who may not appreciate dogs as much, and kept our distance.
Perfect, pet friendly which is very rare in Bkk, breakfast very good and service is perfect, bed a bit hard for me but some people like it that way.
Very surprised at this property the rooms are excellent and very spacious if your going to stay in the Sukhumvit for any length of time stay here.
Rooms have a kitchen a normal size fridge and dishes. We had to come into Bangkok for some business and we wanted to bring our dog this property accepts pets.
Guest services from bellhop to check in folks are five star equivalent.
The room we were in on third floor because that’s the only floor pets are on was excellently appointed and very up to date in appearance.
Make sure you try some of the ginger candy at the front desk.
Why You Should Book Hotel Grand Mercure Bangkok Asoke Residence – Pet friendly hotels Bangkok
I had pre-paid the hotel booking six months prior to arrival, but then when I arrived I was told I could not check in until I paid the amount. Still in the midst of sorting this nightmare!
I frequently stay at Grand Mercure Fortune and was disappointed by the comparative breakfast spread and general cleanliness of the hotel. Would 10/10 recommend to stay at the Fortune instead

Front desk check in, concierge was friendly and attentive. Family room was good as expected. Comfy beds, decent size. Very accommodating as I brought my dog.
It is very good place to stay with dog, nice green area around the hotel where you can walk with dog. I liked river view and easy access to Iconsiam.
Stuff was very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed to communicate with them.
Perfect location for exploring Bangkok. The outdoor garden & lounge area overlooking the river was the best experience.
We traveled with our small dog so having outside space where we could eat meals, lounge in comfortable chairs for an aperitif, etc, was terrific.
Rooms are similar to Ibis rooms in Europe, with comfortable beds yet compact space. We had a river view room and enjoyed the experience.
As I travel a lot with my dog I usually choose places where dogs are allowed. And here in Ibis they are. But you have to take your dog with you while you are going out of the hotel.
Well, it’s not really comfortable to do, especially when it is +33 and you are going out to the places where dogs are not allowed or its not really comfortable for dog to go with you.
For us this question was solved.
We left our dog inside the airplane cage inside the room. But it is not common case and it took us some time to figure this out with. hotel stuff.
Who are very friendly and helpful!
Fabulous spot on the river with lots of greenery, a nice pool, and super-friendly staff, especially June in the restaurant, who lavished love and treats on our French bulldog, Candy.
LOVE that you can have your pet with you here!
Also loved the easy commute across the river by boat to the BTS. For a 3-star hotel, you can’t beat it. Lots of local/street food easily accessible. Best Ibis in BKK.
One of the few places that accept small dogs with no hassle. Some areas like the pool and dining area are off limits but this is a good thing.
They have a great view of the river, large pool, quiet and walking distance to BTS (although dogs not allowed on BTS).
The area is old school Chinese Thai and some good local food – stay clear of the touristy food places just outside the hotel and take a stroll a bit further to get some local treats.
If you do feel like Western Food you have a large VillaMart Shopping complex across the street. Will def return and big thank you to the friendly staff for welcoming our pets and making our stay very comfortable.
Why You Should NOT Book Ibis Bangkok Riverside – Dog friendly hotel Bangkok
iBis Erawan used to be a good choice as budget hotel.
Room & facilities are up to standard.
But services and staffs are running down.
iBis Bangkok Riverside is an example. Check-in process was okay, not nothing to impress.
Tone of voice is on par with non-brand hotel. (Last year I’ve chances to stay at different iBis Erawan hotels .. and they used to be a lot better and more friendly)
Order an espresso shot to enjoy with river view, got a cold one.
Asking for complaint form, got a small piece of paper instead.
Writing an email to complain, got a standard reply, instead of sincerely explain the situation. (2nd reply was fine)
The only one who said “Sawasdee ka” to me during my stay is “cleaning maid beside the pool” while I walked pass. I believe management should learn from her, and let her be the lead trainer for service mind.
The room was okay up to iBis standard. The river view was not as expected as it was not exactly private, and also it was blocked by bushes.
