It’s very comfortable, the staff are helpful, and the breakfast is amazing. Highly recommended.
The location is perfect for exploring the best of Buenos Aires.  The hotel is comfortable.
The rooms are modern, especially the layout and lighting.
We enjoyed having coffee pods in the rooms for an afternoon pick-me-up. The beds and quiet made for great sleep.
Tip: Though it’s tempting to seek breakfast in a nearby cafe, at $12 the hotel’s buffet is a quiet setting with every food you could want.
We used that breakfast to fuel up and plan our days.

A full buffet breakfast is served daily. Argentinian specialties can be ordered at Duhau Restaurante, the main property restaurant featuring a large wine cellar.

Al Fresco dinners can be enjoyed at Gioia Restaurante & Terraces, which features a private terrace overlooking the palace and its gardens.

This luxury hotel, set in a Neoclassical palace and an adjoining building, is 2 km from the grand opera house Teatro Colón and 3 km from the presidential palace Casa Rosada.

Amenities include 3 refined restaurants, some with garden terraces, plus a plush bar.

The older building is the Palacio Duhau which was owned by Luis Duhua who was the minister of agriculture (and apparently very well paid).
The newer building is the Posadas building. In between both buildings are beautiful gardens.
There are terraces on both buildings where you can eat and have a drink. Most of the staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was outrageously expensive for Argentina but it was the exact same breakfast buffet I had at every other Argentinean hotel the previous 17 days of our trip (same selection of fruits, pastries, hams, soupy scrambled eggs and so-on) so I really felt that there was no value for price paid.

The hotel garden grounds were fantastic and the patios for breakfast lunch or dinner outstanding.

The food was marvellous (except for one meal in the upstairs restaurant).

The meal we had in the carne restaurant was simply out of this world. One of the best rib steaks I have ever had.

The buffet breakfasts were superb.

Every common area room was unique and full of character and history but totally mom modernized and beautiful.

Decorated in white and Gold, Bistro Sur offers international cuisine. There is also a cellar containing the largest collection of Argentinean wines.

This ritzy hotel in a converted warehouse in the Puerto Madero neighborhood features a Philippe Starck-designed interior, and is an 8-minute walk from both the Rio de la Plata and the Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur.

Elegant rooms and suites feature personal concierge service, leather furnishings and marble bathrooms, plus flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.

Some add chandeliers and/or whirlpool tubs, and many have river, park or skyline views.

There’s a sleek bistro, a library bar and a cabaret venue with tango shows.

El Porteño building (as the historic mill transformed into FAENA hotel was formerly known) had been slated for demolition and was saved by historic conservationists in the 1990s.

I learned after staying here that the building’s bricks were originally imported from Manchester and could not believe that I was staying in a building whose red brick façade came from my University city!

Take time to enjoy breakfast surrounded by the Palo Borracho trees [which blossom with huge orchid like pink flowers in Autumn] or inside with a view of the open kitchen and the glass cabinets full of beautiful china, glass and memories.

Make sure to have the fruit plate which changes daily. Raspberries, peaches and plums were the best treat as well as the home toasted muesli.

My room was large and extremely comfortable, the sumptuous velvet curtains enclosing the bathroom so much fun, and the cleanliness of the room impeccable. I loved the little desk and delicate silver chair in the bathroom.
My view of the pool and the city. I loved the red interiors of the closets and was glad I had brought some nice dresses to hang there.
The temperature in the room was perfect. Because I asked to change rooms I had a twin room and even though the bed was small it was so comfortable that I slept like a baby without even moving.
I loved to draw the curtains even though I usually don’t because, why not if you can open and close them at the flick of a switch by the bed!
