Beautiful room. Nice ambiance. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly. Such a charming vacation. Being pet friendly was a huge bonus.
My partner, myself and our rescue border collie Dylan Dickens have had the pleasure of staying at the Georgetown Inn three times. It’s always a fantastic stay, the rooms are so beautiful!
We are appreciative that the hotel is pet friendly, Dylan loves it here.
There is a nice dog park about a five minute drive away. We really love the pub food at dinner time, especially the vegetarian poutine.
Very charming place to stay. Rooms were unique and felt very cozy compared to a traditional hotel. Wonderful staff and a great pub to dine in. Also great for those traveling with pets being able to leave your animal in room and enjoy a meal there.
Stayed in Canmore for a wedding. We asked for a pet friendly room so we got a great location with easy outdoor access to let the dog out.
The hotel is older but our room had modern amenities and was very quiet. Definitely plan on staying here again.
Plus the Rocky Mountain Bagel Company was right across the street – great orange juice.

We travelled for my husband’s birthday and anniversary so there was a nice bottle of wine and glasses waiting for us. The rooms were tidy, warm, beds were very comfortable.
Pool was fantastic, slide was a little quick but our child had a blast it was hard to get him to leave upon checkout.
Staff were incredibly friendly and provided our dog with bowls, a toy and bed if needed which wasn’t required.
Room was great. Was a nice touch having a dog bed and bowl waiting in the room. Breakfast was pretty good.
Pet friendly with doggy bed, treat, toy in room.
We had a fantastic stay here after a few nights of camping. We were greeted with iced tea and lemon water, as well as cookies. It was so nice! All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Check in was easy, room was clean. Loved using the Rocky Mountain Soap products in the shower.
We had our dog so we got a main floor room, but still had views of the mountains from our patio space.
They had a lovely dog bed out for our dog, as well as a new toy. So sweet.
Visited the pool, it was good. A bit busy, but it was so hot out so I can see why. Breakfast was included and tasty, but also so busy.
I think any post pandemic travel will feel this way for a while. All in all we had a great stay.
Nice fireplace, comfy tub. We had our dog with us and were glad to have access to a private outdoor patio from our room.
Also, the room had laminate flooring, which I think is wise for pet friendly accommodation.

Video Review of Hotel Solara Resort by Bellstar
This place is absolutely beautiful. We stayed here one night with our dog and we were very happy with the suite and grounds (and I am picky).
Only complaint is, upon check in we were given a long list of pet restrictions to follow…which were not mentioned on their website….why even have a section for pets on your policies section if all the restrictions aren’t listed.
For example, only one dog under 40 pounds are allowed per room, also no pets on any furniture or in the bed.
Don’t get me wrong I understand the restrictions..it is a beautiful place and they want to keep it that way…my issues is we were not made aware prior to booking. Over all we enjoyed our stay and the resort is beautiful.
The resort is in a convenient location, close to hiking trails and Canmore and Banff.
The units are well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The resort has a great spa AND its dog friendly!
I definitely recommend it for a weekend away.

Third time staying at the hotel and it was great. We love The Malcolm! Service, food, comfort and location are the best in Canmore.
My only disappointment was the limit on room category because we were travelling with our puppy. In the past we’ve stayed in the huge lofted king suite and in a smaller king room. We would have booked either category again but we could only book the pet friendly double that was small and did not have a balcony. There is no table/chair area so in room meals were on the bed. I do appreciate that they allow pets and that they provide thoughtful amenities like a dog bed and treats – from The Mutt Hut a pet boutique just off Main Street, King Louis recommends 😉 but the restriction to just the one room category felt arbitrary.
Nevertheless we will return and continue to recommend The Malcolm to travellers in the Canmore area!
The hotel is beautifully decorated and provides a very relaxing atmosphere for a weekend getaway.
Disliked · While I loved that this hotel is pet friendly, the pet supplies provided are for dogs much smaller than our large dog.
Consider bringing your own bowls and bed for a dog larger than 20 lbs as everything provided is quite small.

Loved that the resort is pet friendly, and they give a pet cookie and poop bags at check-in. Rooms were awesome, size was perfect and our daughter loved the bunk bed room.
Loved the free, heated underground parking.
· We LOVE the pet friendly nature of Copperstone… they aren’t just “pet tolerant” but they really seem to enjoy having them! With a large dog it’s hard to find places to stay but they’re so fantastic! We also love the bigger suites with kitchenettes! A great place 🙂
· Having the kitchen allows you to make your own meals, especially lunches when out exploring. It has that feel that you “live there” and gives you more time to be out adventuring.
Has everything you need including a washer and dryer, so pack lite. Very clean and staff is young and upbeat. We LOVE that it is pet friendly, that means our hiking buddy can join us! ??
We have stayed at Copperstone three times in the past year as a family, including our dog. It is an amazing place to be in the mountains, near but not right in the busyness of Canmore/Banff.
Their staff and facility is incredibly pet friendly to the point that our dog relishes visits to the front desk for cookies! (Shout out to the dog treats from the Mut Hut in Canmore!)
The unit we stayed in was well stocked for cooking and had everything we needed for eating in. It was quiet and the bed was comfy.
Our pets were welcomed with doggie cookies and potty supplies which was appreciated. The community BBQ was easy to use. Staff were great!
There are some nice dog walking trails nearby. Would return.
