Fes is a northeastern Moroccan city often referred to as the country’s cultural capital. It’s primarily known for its Fes El Bali walled medina, with medieval Marinid architecture, vibrant souks and old-world atmosphere. The medina is home to religious schools such as the 14th-century Bou Inania and Al Attarine, both decorated with elaborate cedar carvings and ornate tile work.

Off the N6 highway, this straightforward hotel is 4 km from Fés railway station, 5 km from the Marinid architecture of Bou Inania Madrasa and 7 km from Mosquée des Andalous.

 

The bright, functional rooms offer free Wi-Fi, desks, and flat-screen TVs with multimedia connections. Some have bunk beds, and/or sleep up to 4 people. Children age 12 and under stay with a parent at no extra cost.

Parking is complimentary. A breakfast buffet is available, and pets are welcome (both for a surcharge).

A cozy and clean place to stay in Fes. They offer a good breakfast and very nice staff. Special thanks to Mustapha for his kindness and professional attitude.
Recommended for groups but also solo travelers.
This hotel served as my base point to visit the Medina.
It is close enough (just a short distance by car) and enough far from the more agitated streets. I found the quality of the rooms good (although you can hear quite loudly even the smallest noises from the corridors) and the staff was very kind.

2. Riad Lalla Zoubida 3* – Pet Friendly Hotels Fes

iad Lalla Zoubida sits in the heart of the old Médina de Fès. It offers air-conditioned rooms decorated in the authentic and traditional Arabo-Andalusian style.

All of the rooms at the Lalla Zoubida have TV and bath or shower. Some of them have a private balcony and some have shared bathrooms.

The patio terrace provides a quiet place to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and surrounding countryside.

When you step into this Riad you will feel like you have walked into the past of Morocco. Beautiful decor and excellent staff.

Food is definitely worth to try ( I suggest the grill lamb). The Riad is close enough to the market but far enough to to have a piece of quiet when needed.

Our room was on the second floor and we had our own balcony overlooking the courtyard. The location is excellent and the Medina is literally around the corner. Walid met us at our tour car to guide us to the riad and we recommend you organise this with them beforehand.

The included breakfast was very generous.

3. Le Jardin Des Biehn 5* – Pet Friendly Riad Fes Morocco

Le Jardin is located in the heart of the old Medina of Fez. It offers a large Andalousian garden with a fountain, a traditional wellbeing centre with hammam and an art gallery.

The air-conditioned rooms and suites have a traditional touch of Middle East and Asia and exotic furniture. They are equipped with free Wi-Fi access and grand private bathrooms. Some rooms have private lounges or balconies with views.

Set in a traditional riad and surrounded by gardens, this relaxed hotel is an 8-minute walk from the Medersa Bou Inania monument, and 9 minutes’ walk from the Zaouia Moulay Idriss II

mausoleum.

Individually decorated, the traditional rooms feature tile floors, Egyptian cottons and free Wi-Fi; some have balconies. Suites add living areas with fire places, plus Nespresso machines and mini fridges. There’s 1 suite with a 4-poster bed and a massage room, and there’s also a separate house. There are no TVs.

Free breakfast is served on a roof terrace, where regional fare is also offered. There’s also a hammam, as well as an Andalusian garden.

Le Jardin des Biehn is a large Andalusian garden in the middle of the Medina of Fez, scented by Isfahan roses, jasmin, orange blossom and bergamot. All around stands the summer palace of a Pasha : nine rooms and suites, a restaurant, a spa and an art gallery.
It is a place of harmony and charm, of luxury and fantasy, of shadows and light passing through the palms, lulled by birdsong and the murmur of fountains.
The staff were all polite & courteous, meals very good, the complimentary breakfast substantial (especially with the addition of omelettes…not openly advertised, but supplied at no cost when requested), beautiful lush garden surroundings and the all important WiFi of high speed.
The small plunge pool was fine for a cooling dip. It’s just that for the money we paid, we probably expected higher levels of service.
Their restaurant was so good that we ate there all 3 nights, the staff though were the best part of the stay, so easy and friendly. Truly a paradise, we will be back.
