The location was great. The staff was friendly and were very welcoming.
We travelled with our 7 month old dog and everything went smoothly with our stay.
Everything was really nice, the location is perfect with my dog, parks close by. Location for restaurants. Great room.
We would like to see dog fees being waived, if my dog make a mess or destroy something you have my credit card and charge me but no reason for charging money for a dog in the room.
Modern rooms in a classic historic building. Location is within walking distance to most of the sights in downtown/South Halifax.
A significant factor for us was that it is pet-friendly, though we were disappointed to find out that pets aren’t allowed in the Public Gardens across the street (obviously not the Hotel’s fault).
Staff were very helpful and professional.
This is a lovely historic hotel across the street from what I think are the loveliest Public Gardens I’ve ever seen, and we’ve traveled to 34 countries through the years.
We traveled with our dog, a reliable hotel guest, and we were able to leave him in the room which was on the pet friendly floor.
There are many new hotels in Halifax, but we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Each morning guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast buffet.
We had a very spacious suite which was well laid out and very comfortable.
While we didn’t have our dog with us we met several guests with dogs who were very happy with their stay, so we would bring our dog next time.
As a pet owner, this has been my favourite hotel to stay in, ever. I travel with my bunny – yes, a rabbit – quite often.
I understand many people probably think that is strange; it isn’t, trust me it is just different.
The front desk staff are always so kind to me and me bringing my pet – even though it is an “exotic” pet.
I truly feel like this hotel means it, when they advertise your pet being treated just like any other guest.
Also, I have stayed here on a couple different occasions, and my fave things about this hotel are: very clean rooms. Great staff, both front desk and restaurant.
Underground parking, and elevator to take you to and from parking area.
Great location, as I’ve always walked to the places I’ve needed to go to.
I enjoy the continental breakfast, I just wish they offered a protein, such as eggs with the breakfast.
Although, they do have some delicious protein balls. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you from me and Jack (my bunny).
Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location. Pet friendly and included a doggy welcome package.
A comfortable bright room on the 4th floor (pet free), which met expectations.
It’s slightly tricky navigating the elevators (basement parking & rooms are on separate life shafts), but the hotel is very well located and we got to know the surrounds quickly.
Wonderful stay in the heart of Halifax. Pet friendly and super cute with the doggy gift bag.
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. Conveniently located right in the hub. No car needed.
My girlfriend and I visit this hotel with our dog Al Capone in February, we are amazed by how well they treat our dog.
As soon as we checked in, we received a bag of gift including dog toys, water bowl, blanket and many treats!
