Dog Friendly Tours in Hanoi

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.

2. Elegant Suites Westlake 4* – Pet Friendly Hotels Hanoi

Elegant Suites Westlake

Elegant Suites Westlake is a collection of spacious studios and apartments with self-catering facilities and free WiFi. Complimentary private parking is available.

Each air-conditioned studio and apartment has seating and dining areas and a kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator. A flat-screen cable TV, safe, washing machine and private bathroom with bath, shower and hairdryer are included.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. For the one night that we spent away from Hanoi, we checked out and they kept our baggage and even stored our extra food in the fridge. When we came back, they checked us into the same room, which I think they’d kept especially for us. Even in that short time, it was nice to come “home”.

The breakfast was excellent. There is a buffet and you can also order from the menu.

The waiters tended to be a bit slow bringing out the menus and for the most part I’d already heaped my plate with food from the buffet, but if you can be patient (in the face of all that food, ha ha) the menu offers items like eggs and french toast.

The gym, billiards room, indoor and outdoor play areas for children were all very good, and the swimming pool was really lovely – clean and quite big.

There’s a supermarket selling western items (pasta, yoghurt, cheese etc) nearby. It’s called Syrena.

In a bustling commercial area, this polished apartment hotel is 6 km from the Central Business District, 9 km from the Old Quarter and 24 km from Noi Bai International Airport.

Airy, contemporary studios have flat-screen TVs, iPod docks and DVD players, as well as living rooms, kitchenettes and washer/dryers. The bright 1- and 2-bedroom apartments offer floor-to-ceiling windows. Wi-Fi is offered.

Breakfast, parking and an airport shuttle are available. Amenities include a rooftop garden, BBQ facilities and a play area, along with an indoor pool, a gym and a hot tub, plus a sauna and a steam room. There’s also a cafe and a restaurant.

This is a brilliant and spacious property with spacious and comfortable rooms. Had a well functional kitchen and living room with a small office like working area as well. This worked well for us since we had a kid and we needed more space rather than those congested Old Quarter hotels.
The serviced apartment was well furnished and had all the amenities. The room had floor to roof windows as well and had lake views as well. The tariffs were cheap as well so totally worth it. I would stay again at this place.

The apartments have a swimming pool which anyone can use and a reasonably priced spa. The security is also very good as you need your apartment key to work the lifts so no-one can wonder in and around the hotel.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and there also is a courtesy bus on a Saturday and Sunday which takes you into the old quarter. There is also free Wifi constantly and a very good connection. There is also a safe which is also free to use.

The rooms are also equipped with English style plugs so we did not need an adaptor. A hairdryer was also provided along with soap powder for the washing machine. The room also has an iron with board although only suitable for an emergency use.

This hotel is placed in the financial district and is quite a distance from the old quarter where the hustle and bustle takes place however we found this well placed for us especially with a child as we could remove ourselves into the quietness of our hotel without missing the delights of Hanoi. We did actually walk right to the Flag Tower from our hotel which turned out to be 4 miles in total and we caught a taxi back which cost 120,000 dong which is approx. £4.00.

The hotel has a 24 hour supermarket attached with a larger supermarket a few doors down. There are a series of restaurants close by including a very good seafood restaurant called Pho Bien which we went to twice along with some excellent cafes down the side streets where we ate and stopped for a few drinks from time to time.

There is also a KFC next door believe it or not which actually is heaving full of locals!

Serenity Diamond Hotel

Serenity Diamond Hotel is located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, a 5-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and Dong Xuan Market. Rooms are equipped with computers and free WiFi.

The air-conditioned rooms come with a satellite TV, minibar and coffee/tea maker. A hair dryer and hot shower facilities are provided.

The hotel features a tour desk, currency exchange and car rentals. The hotel’s restaurant serves Western and Vietnamese specialties.

Among shops and restaurants on a bustling street in the Old Quarter, this unpretentious hotel is 1 km from scenic Hoàn Kiếm Lake, and 2 km from the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long, an

11th-century royal complex. It’s 27 km from Noi Bai International Airport.

Featuring dark wood furnishings, the understated rooms come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and mini fridges. Upgraded rooms offer city views, while suites add sitting areas.

Complimentary amenities include tea and coffee, as well as a breakfast buffet served in an unfussy dining room. There’s also a terrace.

Myself and my husband had just moved to Hanoi with our dog and spent our first week at the Serenity. They were so friendly and helpful and always had smiles on their faces. The room itself was small but perfect, the bed was very comfortable. The location was amazing, you are right in the center of the Old Quarter.
The breakfast in the morning was also a pleasant surprise with all you can eat pastries and fruit as well as the breakfast that you order.
The room is very well-lit and nice, with a great view of Hanoi streets and trees.

However some items in the room were a bit dusty and the aircon was a bit hot (traveled in the summer in May though). The bathroom was a bit small and not well-lit enough. The spacious room make it up for the small bathroom however.

Location is a bit far from Hoan Kiem Lake, nonetheless it is still at the Old Quarter. It is near Long Bien bus station, very convenient if you’re taking bus #86 from the airport to downtown. It is also near Truc Bach lake and the areas near Temple of Literature.

Breakfast was simple but complete and very presentable 🙂 plus points to the staff at the kitchen/restaurant on the 7th floor. This hotel is very recommendable.

This is a great spot to stay in while in Hanoi.
