Dog Friendly Tours in Hua Hin, Thailand
A favorite getaway for Bangkok residents, Hua Hin is a pretty beachside town. Family friendly & Dog Friendly and relaxed, it lacks the all-night partying and seedier aspects that make other nearby beach resorts a haven for unsavory characters. Once a small fishing village, it was transformed into a royal resort, and it’s these close links with Thai royalty that ensure Hua Hin won’t become overdeveloped or lose its small-town vibe.

This was my first time visiting Novotel Hua Hin with my dog. Affordable price, Good service, Great view. Furnitures are old fashioned but room cleanliness is impressive.
We were very happy that such a 5 stars hotel allows pet. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Full of facilities to relax and enjoy. All rooms are sea view with beach front. We loved it. Best value of money spending.
ROOM: The best part of these rooms are the sea views; just a lovely sight all day. Our rooms were tastefully furnished, clean and spacious and had good storage. Yes, it is true that the rooms and bathrooms are starting to get dated, however they were clean and lovely in general.
The beds were comfortable, but pillows a bit too soft, but you can order an extra pillow (one per room). Good selection of TV stations for a rainy day, along with the DVD player supplied (which was handy).
The Wi-Fi was great in the rooms and had an easy logon/password. The blinds kept out the morning sun well. We were near the lifts and didn’t have any issues with noise. The balcony was a good size and got the morning and early afternoon sun and it was lovely to sit out here.
The bathroom had a nice large shower with excellent water pressure and no issues with the hot water. No bath in the bathroom, however there was a ledge in the shower that small children could sit on.
The wardrobe had good storage, with an iron and board, as well as a good sized safe.
POOL: The large pool at the hotel was beautiful, set near the sea. One end was shallow (near the beach) and the other end was deeper (1.8m). There was always lots of sun chairs. There was no reserving of sun lounges (due to well behaved guests).
I found the pool sunny if you wanted the sun, as well as plenty of areas in the shade. The water slide was well used by children, and the adults appeared to enjoy it as well.
BEACH: If you haven’t been to Hua Hin before and are expecting a nice swimming beach, this isn’t the best place to come.
Many of the hotels on the beach don’t have any sand that is walkable on for most of the day (it has eroded), and there are also jelly fish making it unsuitable to swim in.
So the Novotel is like many other hotels in the area, with reasonable water to view but not to swim in. The better beaches are in the south of Thailand.
LOCATION: The location of the hotel is closer to Cha-Am, not Hua Hin, and not central for shopping or markets. This suited us fine, as we knew that in advance.
If you want a hotel with lots of shops/markets/restaurants, stay in Hua Hin (a location near the Hilton or Centara Grand), but be prepared to pay a lot more for this convenience.
We factored in the cost of transport to Hua Hin (20-30 mins away) and the Novotel was excellent value here overall.

Hotel has very pleasant grounds, swimming pools and is on beach. However we could not use the beach or sea at all as during our visit, of eight days, it was high tide during the day and low tide at night.
Hotel has a couple of restaurants and a Club (access needed) and a few bars. Breakfast is very good and buffet. Evening meals are la carte and very good.

The room was really nice for the price point. It’s clean and located near the beach and lots of restaurants. We had a dog with us and he absolutely loved it.
his place is superb! Very attentive staffs. It’s rare to find a place that pet friendly in Hua Hin.
We spent two nights here and I have two dogs with me so this place is on point for what i needed. Variety options of breakfast and decent portion. The location is close to many coffee shops and restaurants.
They allow pets and it’s pretty close to all the other nice places.
Stayed a couple of nights on a short getaway from Bangkok with the family (2 adults, 1 baby and our dog).
Our arrival was prompt and very friendly. We actually were greeted right as we stepped out of our car and helped with the luggage.
The checkin was fast and completed in the villa itself, so we didn’t have to spend much time in the lobby, to our relief given the current pandemic.
The villa was very well maintained and clean. The pool was also in pristine condition.
The resort is a few steps away from the beach , which was very quiet and great to visit at low-tide.
Overall highly recommended and we will certainly return.
