This has to be one of the nicest Marriotts I have stayed at in quite a while. Had a corner room on the 14th floor – great room, very modern and clean with a nice view. Huge lobby! Outdoor Pool area was on the 4th floor along with the restaurant and large fitness center. Nice to enjoy breakfast or coffee by the pool!
The staff here is fantastic!
The women that worked behind the checkin counter were so friendly and helpful and very patient with my limited Spanish.
We dined at the restaurant frequently for dinner and the food was amazing! Great service, too.
The waiter Albinio and waitress Helen were extremely friendly and always greeted us warmly.
For breakfast there’s a nice buffet in the restaurant as well as a cooked to order breakfast.
Don’t hesitate to make this Marriott your first choice when visiting Santa Cruz – you won’t be disappointed!

The buffet breakfast includes a choice of pastries, juices, cereals and yoghurt.
Set on a tree-lined, hilly street a 2-minute walk from soccer matches at El Estadio Olímpico Hernando Siles, this relaxed hotel is also a 15-minute walk from Plaza Murillo, the city’s main square.
Streamlined rooms come with with free Wi-Fi, mini fridges, flat-screens and safes.
This was hands-down the best Hotel in La Paz (and probably Bolivia). I stayed here with my partner and my dog , Isaac. They were so kind and adored our dog.
We had previously had nothing but hassles with Isaac and companies, so it was so lovely to deal with a company that follows their word (ie: pets allowed).
The location around the Olimpico stadium is surrounded by restaurants, pharmacies and transportation.
Most travel agencies will not pick you up in this neighborhood, Miraflores, but the taxi is so cheap in this city that it does not matter.
The rooms on the back will be quieter, especially when there is a soccer game in the stadium. They are noisy. The street that the hotel is, it is busy.
The service is great. They take great care of the avarice of the Brazilian people, always warn you of the amounts charged and costs. The value is appropriate with the quality.
Have good breakfast.

The trek up to this property is worth it! Let’s start with the views, they’re amazing. You’ve got a great view of the mountains and Isla de la Luna. The beds are so comfortable. There was hot water 24hrs a day and the water pressure was great. The breakfast is to die for. So much food! The property is located away from most of the other hotels and restaurants on the island which is nice.
It’s only about a 15-25 minute walk up to the sunset viewpoint. The owner is so sweet and lovely. Would recommend this place to anyone.
The view from our room and lanai was outstanding. Big windows in our room gave us wonderful sunrise views looking towards the island of the moon. Oscar, the owner, was a wonderful host. He was very accommodating and even let us pay in US dollars, which was very helpful as their are no ATMs on the island and we forgot to withdraw local currency in Copacabana. Lastly, Oscar met us at the beach as we disembarked the ferry.
He actually actively hunted us down as we were about to climb up the Inca Stairs just so he could take our bags from us so that we would have an easier climb up to the hilltop property. Thankfully, the donkeys carried our bags for us!
