1. Zoetry Agua Punta Cana  5* – Pet Friendly Hotels in Caribbean

Zoetry Agua Punta Cana

Zoetry Agua Punta Cana is located right on the Dominican Republic’s beautiful Caribbean coast. This luxurious resort boasts several outdoor pools, a spa and wellness centre and an open-air restaurant overlooking the beach.

Each air-conditioned suite here features sleek eco-friendly décor, with vaulted ceilings and natural wood floors. They include a seating area, a private terrace and a spacious bathroom with a shower, bathtub and free toiletries.

Set along a white sand beach on the Atlantic Ocean, this elegant all-inclusive resort is 6 km from the water park Sirenis Agua Games and 48 km from Punta Cana International Airport.

Polished suites offer terraces, minibars, soaking tubs and sitting areas, plus free Wi-Fi, flat-screens and coffeemakers. Upgraded suites have ocean or pool views, while the 3-bedroom villas add kitchens. There’s 24-hour room service.

There are 4 restaurants, a cafe and 3 bars (including a swim-up bar). There’s also a spa and a fitness center, plus 4 outdoor pools and direct beach access.

Excellent experience onsite, recommended 2000% to everyone considering traveling in the area, looking for accomodations for a romantic getaway, we choose to bring out dog and he was pampered as much as we were too. Would love to go again next year.
Friendly staff, in particular at the Piragua restaurant. The service there was generally good and further improved when we started tipping. Generally nice resort, though the rooms in the older part (built in 2006) definitely need refurbishment.
Beach and ocean look nice, but you cannot really swim in the sea (boulders and strong current). Good food in the Piragua and Amaya restaurant (these restaurants have a shared kitchen) and also in the Indigo lunch restaurant.
Room: We had a 1st Floor Swim Out Junior Sweet. It was the exact same room our friends had that was oceanfront.
The room had plenty of space (725 sf), nice waterfall shower, and a deck with a table and some chairs that led to a nice long pool that adjoined several of the rooms.
The bed was comfortable and they came several times a day to clean, restock the fridge and towels, and do a turndown service. The TV had lots of channels with several in English for us.
Pools: The main swim up pool was just the right size for the amount of people at the resort. I would be a bit worried if the resort was at full capacity, but I believe it was only at 30-40% this time of year.
There was a second pool, plus the pools that were aligned with the swim out suites. All were constantly cleaned and in good shape.

2. Hotel Melia Ponce 4* – Pet Friendly Hotels in Caribbean

Hotel Melia Ponce

Set in a historic building in the heart of Ponce, Hotel Melia Ponce is the oldest hotel with an ongoing operation of 125 years. With 66 rooms, an outdoor adult & kiddie pool, onsite parking and complimentary WIFI.

Each room at Hotel Melia Ponce is decorated in a classic style and has air conditioning and cable TV. Some rooms feature unique Puerto Rican artwork and views of the historic city center. This is a pet-friendly property.

In the Lobby you’ll find Baleares Restaurant, a fine dining concept that serves Mediterranean & International cuisine as well as tapas and cocktails in the World Class Bar.

This polished hotel dating from 1895 is within 2 minutes’ walk of Ponce Cathedral, the Parque de Bombas museum and Plaza Las Delicias.

The laid-back rooms were designed by prominent Puerto Rican artisans, and include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Upgraded rooms have balconies with plaza views.

Amenities include a rooftop bar, and an outdoor pool with an additional bar, plus a coffee shop.

The location is the best in Ponce. If you are going to visit Puerto Rico, I recommend you to visit Ponce, the largest city outside the San Juan area. Ponce has an historical heritage and you will enjoy Spanish era buildings and a more relaxed vibe than the Metro area. Among those buildings is the Hotel Melia (the real one, not the Gran Melia impostor). This is the oldest operating hotel in Puerto Rico since 1895.
The hotel has suffered many renovations during the years, but at the same time it retains its classic charm. Modern additions include a roof modern bar, a small but nice pool and some cool top of the line Convention rooms.
What I loved was the location, it’s in the downtown plaza and you can walk to see several different attractions and food places without having to get in a car. I also loved the friendly staff, they were wonderful, they accept pets, I traveled with my cat and he loved looking out the window.
The owner has a dog that I saw frequently, very friendly. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff, when I wanted to go somewhere, they gave me a map and drew on it and gave me very specific instructions, you will not find this level of hospitality out here.
Breakfast was ok, but the view was breathtaking. It is an older hotel, in an old building, but it is a historic area, so no surprises.

3.  Zoetry Montego Bay 5* – Pet Friendly Hotels in Caribbean

Set in Montego Bay, 1.1 km from Half Moon Point Beach, Zoetry Montego Bay offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. Featuring a bar, the 5-star resort has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The resort offers a continental or à la carte breakfast.

Set on a tranquil stretch of private beach overlooking the Caribbean Sea, this upscale all-inclusive hotel is 6 km from Sangster International Airport and 8 km from White Witch Golf Course.

Chic suites have free Wi-Fi, flat-screens, tea and coffeemaking equipment, and balconies/terraces, along with minibars. Upgraded suites add whirlpool tubs, private pools and/or sea views. Butler service is available. Room service is provided 24/7.

Meals and drinks (complimentary) are served in 6 restaurant/bars, including beachfront options. There’s also a spa, a gym, and an open-air cinema on the beach. Cooking classes, wine tastings and yoga are offered.

Things to keep in mind: the pools are slightly cooler than the very warm ocean, some of the swim-outs don’t get a lot of sun during the day. However, this was actually pretty good after spending a few too many hours out in the sun.
Beach is limited, great for sitting and reading, but no long walks. We were there during the rainy season, and it’s very lush, so we had some issues with mosquitos on our patio.
The staff are exceptional, customer service at it’s very best, The food and drinks were amazing, the best I’ve ever experienced at a resort. There are many options to choose from.
The facility observed all of the safety protocols and made everyone feel comfortable. We had the opportunity to paddle board and kayak. The water was warm and calm. We had a romantic 7 course dinner by ourselves at the end of the pier, memorable.
The rooms are comfortable, all the things we would need were provided. We used the weight room and the spa to get a massage.
Safety protocols were strictly adhered to. We loved this place, it is smaller and more intimate than large resorts.
We knew staff by name, they were amazing. We plan to take some family and friends next time we go. This place is a hidden gem, so beautiful and romantic.

The on-site spa is set amongst the plantation’s lush gardens and next to a stream. It features a hot tub and a Temazcal outdoor sauna. Treatments include wraps, massage and facials.

Overlooking Pitons Bay, this upscale resort surrounded by tropical forest is 5 km from Sulphur Springs, a drive-in volcano.

Polished rooms come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and iPod docks, as well as minibars, and tea and coffeemakers. All include private plunge pools and butler service. Upgraded rooms offer rooftop terraces. Cottages and 1- to 2-bedroom villas have separate living areas. Beachfront bungalows add outdoor showers and hot tubs. Room service is available 24/7.

There are 2 restaurants and 3 bars. Other amenities include an outdoor pool and a spa, plus 2 tennis courts, water sports equipment and a dive center.

The resort was so beautiful and the rooms were perfectly appointed with amenities like a Nespresso machine, bluetooth speaker, iPad for ordering things from the butler, as well as lovely bath salts, lotions, and the softest Sferra sheets ever. The staff was super friendly and made a big effort to always take care of every need.
The grounds were immaculate and the beach was raked every morning of any debris. The beach chairs were super comfy and the snorkeling was fantastic with gorgeous puffer fish, spotted eel, baby squid, parrot fish, blue tangs, and more.
The resort is ideally located between the Pitons. From the beach, to the pool, to the Terrace Restaurant where we enjoyed our breakfast every morning, the views were magnificent. We had requested to be located in a villa that allowed us some quiet and privacy. Our villa (#710), was nestled in the lush, tropical landscape partway up the mountain. The view from our patio and private plunge pool was truly breathtaking. Though we needed a tuk tuk to take us down to the restaurants, beach/pool area, we certainly didn’t mind. We simply called for a ride, and a driver would appear momentarily to take us anywhere we wanted to go.
The villa itself evoked 19th century plantation living, with a crisp white interior and a luxurious voile-draped canopy bed. From the gorgeous oversized marble shower to the claw foot bathtub, it was obvious that no expense was spared in the design and finishing touches.
The food was always fresh, and the presentation was five star quality.

5. Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau 5* – Pet Friendly Hotels Caribbean

Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau

Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau features a fitness centre, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Nassau. Featuring room service, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant, a water park and an outdoor pool. The accommodation provides a hot tub, evening entertainment and family rooms.

Guests at the hotel can enjoy a continental breakfast.

Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau offers a children’s playground. The area is popular for snorkelling, and car hire is available at the accommodation.

Great location near to McDonald’s, the US Embassy, shopping, a number of restaurants, and more, though many of these places close as cruise ships leave.

Right on a lovely beach. New facility with much thought in the design (loved the room sink handles and the Margarita lights in the lobby. ) Very clean. All the rooms have balconies with a postcard perfect view of the water and a lighthouse.

Lots of millennial friendly touches (tablet controls for the room and bathroom mirror switch is like on a smartphone). Room refrigerator. Fun to watch the daily cruise ship parade. Many staff are top notch, especially Lenten at the front desk. Plus, of course, the Waterpark.

he location is great–walking distance or a very short taxi ride to many downtown restaurants, shops and attractions (including Fish Fry–a dining must). The private beach area is very clean. I personally witnessed the staff cleaning everything morning, noon and night, which was greatly appreciated given COVID and all.

The food and service at Vacation Cafe and JWB steakhouse is very good. We didn’t try the other onsite restaurants, but they are likely also good.

The resort is brand new and physically beautiful. We kept looking around and saying “wow.” My boys loved the water park and beach. They used the slides and wakeboarding over and over. Every morning and noon, we ate at the coffee shop, Joe Merchants. The room was very comfortable, bright, clean, and offered a spectacular view of the bay.

We would watch the cruise ships come in and out. I liked the fact that my teenagers could be safe and relatively independent there, which allowed me to relax. The best part about our stay was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.

The service is 100%. I couldn’t think of any way to improve it.

They are very pet friendly. You might think it is cynical, but they are clearly very smart at knowing what pet owners will appreciate. (I don’t have a pet but I spoke to a number of people who make this point.

Views are superb, I particularly enjoyed the south-facing view where I could see the sea, the beach and some of the town.

Rooms were big and nice, clean and all the staff were helpful and friendly! The landscaping of this property is amazing. Very relaxing.
The best place on the beach was coco lobos, which is their beach bar restaurant. The smoked chicken tacos are absolutely the best! We ate them everyday. Our server, now friend, Veronica, was the best server.
The beach and ocean are nice and they have plenty of loungers etc. they are also a pet friendly hotel!
There were dogs that were literally on vacation! So fun. I highly recommend this property.

In all my years of traveling and selling travel, these properties exceed all expectations in every way. Every student of architecture should visit. These suites are not just luxurious, they are heavenly. The details are everywhere. The staff is attentive yet invisible. The beach is wide and sandy, yet rocky and dramatic.
Dining is a gastronomic event or a casual bite. Snorkeling and diving are just a few hundred feet in front of the resort. Kids are welcome, even pets are welcome! I would not hesitate to say that I believe the Aman Resorts to be the best in the world.

The property is in a very convenient location. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms are clean and staff is very helpful and friendly. The swim up bar is a great feature. Great rum punch too!
The hotel was fantastic, located on the gorgeous Accra beach with free sunbeds for hotel guests. We enjoyed breakfast, a wide range of food buffet style including cakes and croissants , and lovely fresh fruit juices every day.
Lunch was either ordered outside With a choice of burgers, hot dogs , chicken etc with a side of fries, wedges, macaroni pie (which we loved) or you could go into the restaurant to order from a lunch menu. Evening meals in the Accra Deck were more a la carte style.
The best part of the hotel is the location. It is right on the beach. Though technically the beach is not private, it feels like that since the beach front is only occupied by hotel guests and the hotel puts out complimentary beach chairs, beach umbrellas and provides beach towels.

The beach and the pool closes at 7PM.

Staying at MVC, all you need to do is walk across the street to get to the best beach in Aruba… if not one of the most beautiful beaches period. To get to where all the action is, just take a 2 minute cab ride. The staff is super friendly, nice place to eat on site and a pretty nice pool considering Eagle Beach is 6 steps away.
I made friends with 2 of the nicest island dogs EVER! The wind is constantly blowing (softly) so you don’t always realize how hot it actually is… sunblock, sunblock, sunblock. Absolutely beautiful in Aruba.
The hotel provided free lounges and beach towels to carry across the street. Eagle Beach was NEVER crowded and we had no problem getting a thatch umbrella for shade each day.
This is not a manicured, raked beach like a resort but it was still beautiful with pristine water. Weekends brought more locals with children and some dogs but this added to the charm for me. Weekdays were so peaceful.
The continental breakfast was a great start to each day…it included coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, asst breads/cereals, cheese/ham, hard boiled eggs.
Presentation was wonderful with real china/cutlery and gourmet european jams, Twinings teas, real butter, etc.
Staff was always friendly!
