The room is spacious and clean with very nice view. It’s very clean. Fridge is good size. Starbuck coffee is very nice to have.the amenities are of good quality. Those little things are really nice to have.

Besides, the hotel is very pet friendly. We will definitely recommend to our friends and we will come back again.

I thought the room with vinyl flooring was great for stays with furry family. I asked for a broom and dustpan so I could sweep the floor but there was none available.

It is always messy with cat litter no matter how hard I try and it made our room less than ideal because we couldn’t keep the floor clean. Even a handheld rechargeable vacuum would be a nice touch particularly in the ‘pets’ room.

We really like staying at the Coast Hotels because they are pet friendly (we have a dog) and generally lovely hotels. The Coast Bastion is in downtown Nanaimo so very convenient. The only negative being having to pay for parking.

We were given a large corner room overlooking the harbour. It was clean and we felt the hotel was working hard to maintain good covid practices.

The central location meant we could walk our dog along the waterfront and we had access to multiple restaurants which almost all offered takeout options.

With our spacious room and its great view, we were happy to eat our meals in our room.

Comfortable and relaxing for us and for the dog. Just what we wanted for our getaway.

It’s the best of both worlds: a wonderful lake view, complete with kayak and peddleboat rentals, sitting right at the edge of a busy highway.

All rooms have a private balcony or patio with BBQs on the property, which is also pet-friendly.

Popular with families and plenty of parking onsite.

Not a new property but simple accommodations: bathroom looked renovated and rooms are large, equipped with microwave and refrigerator, and big, bouncy beds.

The old air-conditioner is very noisy but it blocks the white noise of the highway traffic. (You also get a constant breeze on the balcony but there were too many spiders for my liking to keep the door open!)

Continental breakfast was ok — prepackaged sweet pastries and such to go but still appreciated.

TV channel options were meh. Staff is friendly. Would recommend to families who need to be near the city but want that lakefront vacation feel.

Great inn with very pleasant/friendly staff. Everyone seems to really like their job! Very pet friendly.

Two doors to rooms with a patio door; very spacious rooms. Microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee maker.

Hot tub in a separate room on the property. Lots of variety for breakfast: 3 types of muffins, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cook your own waffles, etc.

Short walk to a trail on other side of the lake.
