The staffs here are all helpful and friendly, they will definitely give you all kinds of good advises about your trip and things to do around this area. It’s a nice small property. The services and facilities offered here are very great in terms of the price. Kids can easily find a variety of activities of interest here.

They got ducks, dogs, rabbits, and a tree house. The property is in a good location, although it is hard to find for the first time. It is said you can even walk your way to Pidurangala rock.

It’s an oasis of natural beauty with stunning views of both Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks . Both rocks are accessible by foot. The property is surrounded by wildlife and has plenty of options for an early morning/evening stroll. Lots of birds chirping all day.. makes you forget all the everyday noises and helps your soul rejuvenate.

The food is beyond amazing. We tried both western and Sri Lankan cusines.. top notch chefs combined with high quality produce -a match made in heaven.

The Sri Lankan curry dinner we had was truly authentic and divine. They provide a mini buffet with 10+ dishes, mostly organic produce.

Try the local dessert “watalappan”, you won’t be disappointed.

The resort also allows pets. We took our 11 yr old dachshund, who truly loved her stay. Again, the resort staff were extremely helpful.

Excellent service and great food. It’s also a pet friendly hotel with kennel facilities & plenty of garden space for them to roam around.

2. Citrus Hikkaduwa 4* – Pet Friendly Hotels Sri Lanka

Citrus Hikkaduwa is located a short 10-minute drive from Hikkaduwa Town. Featuring an Ayurvedic massage centre and an outdoor pool, it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.

Each air-conditioned guest room comes with tea/coffee making facilities, a minibar and satellite television. The en suite bathroom has bathroom amenities and a hairdryer.

Overlooking a Laccadive Sea beach, this relaxed hotel is a 5-minute walk from Thapodaramaya Temple and 2 km from Hikkaduwa train station.

3. Gal Oya Lodge 3* – Pet Friendly Hotels in Sri Lanka

Located in Galgamuwa in the Monaragala District region, Gal Oya Lodge provides accommodation with free private parking.

A Full English/Irish breakfast is available daily at the villa.

A terrace can be found at Gal Oya Lodge, along with a garden.

he whole team go out of their way to make your stay a special one. The naturalists are so knowledgeable about the plant and wildlife closeby. We loved the two gorgeous doggies Arrack and Whisky.

The area is still bit new to foreign tourism (beyond backpackers) and this lodge is known as the best in the area for good reason. It’s very eco friendly with a friendly staff overall. There is a big open lodge, with a bar, dining room and a great view of their pool (with the majestic “Monkey Rock” mountain in the background.

Everything is very green and beautiful. You pre-order your meals (no waste at this place!) and let the staff know what time you want to eat (although they remain flexible).

The rooms – or huts – are very nice with great little touches – such as the faucets that are stone elephants (i want these for at home) and the elephant bedding.

The rooms are spacious, with really nice bathrooms/showers that open up to the outside. The service level is very good. We did a jeep safari and boat ride in Gal Oya, as well as a walk with a Vedda warrior which was really cool and interesting.

A lovely set of lodges practically in the jungle; each is isolated from each other and have plenty of space inside. There’s no air conditioning, but the fans work well, and it’s not as hot as elsewhere in Sri Lanka anyway.

The meals were delicious, and the staff always available and very helpful. They organized boat safaris for us into the park itself, as well as arranging a free bird-watching tour with a knowledgeable guide. There were other tours they could have arranged, and unfortunately we didn’t stay long enough to enjoy everything they had to offer.

There is also a very sweet resident dog that hung around the reception area and greeted everyone.
