Destiny - The Farm Resort

Surrounded by natural greenery, Destiny Farmstay is located in Avalanche, 25 km from Ooty Town. Boasting quiet surroundings, this hotel offers rooms with views of the valley, lake and pond. Free parking is provided.

Rooms are simply furnished with wooden furniture and a telephone. En suite bathrooms include shower facilities, soap and towels.

Destiny Farmstay is 80 km from Coimbatore and Coimbatore Airport. Bangalore is 300 km away.

Featuring valley and Avalanche Lake views, this casual, tranquil hotel on a working farm is 22 km from the Udhagamandalam railway station. It’s 14 km from the Tribal Research Center.

 

Featuring balconies, warmly decorated rooms with hardwood floors offer tea and coffeemaking facilities. Some provide lake views. Upgraded rooms add fireplaces and/or sitting areas. Airy suites come with separate living spaces.

Amenities include 2 restaurants, 1 by the lake, as well as a spa, a game room, a kids’ play area and mini-golf. Horseback riding and lessons are available. Breakfast is offered for a fee.

The rooms are amazingly clean and feels so fresh to relax. They are very spacious to accommodate at a minimum 2 adults and 2 kids.

All the rooms face the beautiful landscape and hence maybe you never realize there is no TV in the rooms or network to use mobiles. Of course, you get a powerful WIFI, but who needs it when you almost forgot that you had a mobile?

The resort is usually filled with kids and wonderful pets. All beings are treated equally with kindness and respect that I have never experienced anywhere before.

If you have children/pets, this maybe the best experience they will remember in a long time. There is no count of the activities that you could do together with family.
Enjoy the horse rides, zip lines, sing-along a karaoke, enjoy the evening dinner around the bonfire, do a trek early morning, feed the animals (or even better, groom them), do some fishing or just relax in a tent along the beautiful lake!
We were looking for a place near Ooty which was pet-friendly and came across Destiny the Farmstay. I have to say the rooms were nice and the food was also good.
But the highlight of the location is that there is so much to explore, for us and our dog. They have horses, cows and other animals there and we enjoyed watching our dog interact with them.
Overall, we had a great trip and would highly recommend the place to families with children and pets.

Designed to resemble London in the late 1800s, Sherlock offers rooms with free WiFi and brick chimneys. Refurbished lawns surround the property, which is 3 km from Sharing Cross Junction.

Spacious rooms are equipped with windows. Modern comforts include a cable TV and bathroom with shower.

Among hills on the outskirts of Ooty, this offbeat, Sherlock Holmes-themed hotel occupies a Victorian-era mansion. It’s 4 km from the Government Botanical Garden and 7 km from the summit of

Doddabetta mountain.

Warm, period-style rooms are named for Holmes’ pursuits, and feature parquet floors, beamed ceilings and fireplaces. Some add seating areas, fireplaces and/or mountain views. Wi-Fi and limited room service are available.

Parking and breakfast are complimentary. Other amenities include a quaint restaurant, a sunroom and a garden, as well as guest lounges.

Had a good time at Sherlock. The property is pet friendly with restrictions.

Food – awesome. Palak paneer, butter chicken, tawa paratha and paneer Chilli shouldn’t be missed.
Staff – very polite.

Over all the place is situated at a beautiful location and the breakfast (complimentary) was very tasty and had lot of varieties. It is a must for anyone who like to get away from the hassle of the city and have peace of mind for few days..

Not to mention, the fire place inside the rooms added an extra touch and very much needed for the climate.

One suggestion is that they should make WiFi available throughout the property and inside the rooms to enable IT people to do a work from home from the property.

Finally, if you are looking for a pet friendly stay, don’t look beyond this as they have a beautiful garden and place to take your pet on a walk around the property.

Our experience at Taj Savoy Ooty was simply amazing. From the seamless booking to our stay, everything was perfect. Karthik and Mithra made it more worthwhile with their assistance and availability.
The room was spotless and beautiful and the food was great. We were spoilt for choices by Mr. Omprakash for food. We took our pet there as well and he had a wonderful time with all the green space for him to play. The staff at the hotel are very courteous and helpful.
The lawn overlooking the cottages was carefully manicured and allowed surplus space for my pawmates to run around all day. The friendly staff was extra careful of their well-being. The complete ambience with lush green lawns, garden seating, croquet, badminton, table tennis, horse riding, bon fires and games in the evenings provided the perfect setting for a memorable vacation. Most importantly, we were extremely happy as the property and staff were pet friendly in the true sense.
The scrumptious culinary delights were the icing on the cake and the F&B team left no stone unturned in catering to our taste buds. Needless to say, this vacation amidst amazing hospitality has etched an indelible mark in our memories.
Beautiful service, staffs are very polite. Place was kept very very neat and clean, The place was pet friendly and they sanitized the hotel very well. Food was delivered on time and delicious. Would recommend to visit the hotel.
