Review: Sant Jordi Mambo Tango Hostel Barcelona

I needed a hostel close to the metro, close to the direct line to Sants Estacion, carrying many luggage’s and the metro stairs in Barcelona are not such a good friend to it. So I choose Sant Jordi Mambo Tango – quite a long name :D.

Location of Sant Jordi Manbo Tango: Poeta Cabanyes 23, Barcelona ; 3 minutes walking from Parallel metro station (L2, L3), 5 minutes from La Rambla, 10 minutes from Plaza Espana and 15 minutes to the beach; all walking distance. The hostel is perfectly located, close to the touristy sites and the nightlife in Barcelona. The area is considerate a safe one, but from my point of view ( stayed one year in Barcelona), during the night cannot be so safe for a solo traveler.

Atmosphere : in one world : PARTY! For long stays I would not pick this hostel because is a noisy one; it’s considered a party hostel and the bar downstairs is a proof of that. Free sangria night is to be blamed for that :). If you are a party traveler, this is the perfect location for you in Barcelona.

Cleanness & Rooms: Bathrooms are ok and clean; there are 2-3 on each floor, which is a very nice . I stayed only one night, but the room, even if it was full, it was clean. The only thing I did not like about Sant Jordi Manbo Tango was the small room; the lockers are located in the room and that takes from the space.

Security: Lockers available so no nothing to be worried.

Services and pricesBreakfast is not included, but you can have a typical Spanish breakfast (churros, etc.) at the bar next to the hostel. The prices start from 8 euro in the 9 dormitories and in a private room its 25 euro per night at Sant Jordi Manbo Tango

Wifi is not working in the room so you have to go downstairs to check your emails and Facebook.
