This is my second time quarantine in Bangkok. After having not great experience my first time in Bangkok ASQ, I was careful this time. After speaking with some friends and colleagues, I picked Solitaire for my ASQ/Quarantine.
I stayed in room 1401. Room is very comfortable, spacious, modern, clean and with so much natural light as it has large floor to ceiling window.
Although it is hard to enjoy food in ASQs, but I must admit it is way better than I expected.
Above all, the staff are super nice, professional and caring!
Having a real pleasant stay through the quarantine period. Services are at the top.
Qualified food with various options. Comfortable beds and office area for working. Clean, spacious, quiet and well prepared amenities in the room.
A very pleasant hotel for my ASQ stay in Bangkok, the bed is pretty big and a window that I manage to look out…
The food here during ASQ were good.
Most importantly, the operator team has been very helpful and friendly.
I hope I will have a chance to return and stay in this hotel in normal times when there is no quarantine.
It is really nice, clean, modern and very convenient location.
But even in quarantine times, they are the best!
Food is decent too and choices are much better than all of the 3 ASQs that I above stayed so far.
Just finished my quarantine at this hotel. I stayed 7 days here.
Good room and service and solid food every day. If you need anything you just call the receptionist and they will fix it in a second.
Only dislikes about my stay in hotel was the miss of a window to open or a balcony.
When I arrived on May 3 rules had changed, I thought I go outside 1 hour every day and therefore no problem stay in room without balcony.
But Thai government changed rules and I therefore had to stay in room 7 days without fresh air.
That is not good for health.
If anyone should choose stay in this hotel make sure to have a room with a balcony especially now when you have to stay in room 14 days.
But good hotel, I will recommend it for a quarantine stay.

Stayed here for ASQ. The room size was great and had all the important features.
The room also quite newly renovated.
The balcony was also great to have for laundry- especially for long stays. Room service not a lot of food choices but the price were decent.
Overall everything is ok for ASQ only and not suitable to be stuck within 16 days 15 nights in 1 room, nobody likes to stay in the room for a long time.
But everyone has to follow government policies.
I did the ASQ only because I will be living in Thailand and not on vacation as a tourist.
Due to quarantine requirements, the ASQ menu is valid every day.
Fortunately, there is another menu if selection on the ASQ menu is not suitable.
My room was modern and comfortable and looked like it was recently renovated.
I picked the Amber Sukhumvit 85 for my recent quarantine stay after flying from the US to Thailand.
The room (I got a corner suite) was clean and comfortable and seemed larger than specified.
Internet was great. The only downside to the room was that the large windows faced sort of SW so it got kind of warm in the afternoon if I didn’t close the drapes.
Not the hotel’s fault but something to be aware of.
The food (meals were included in ASQ) was generally good (I did not try any of the “western” food, so only the Asian selections).
The food was fresh and well prepared but did get a little repetitive – particularly desserts – over my 2-week stay.
The hotel also was receptive to dietary needs or choices and will work with you on your menu needs. The staff was excellent and responsive.
Having a hotel filled with locked down guests itching for something to do cannot be an easy thing and the staff all handled everything very well.

Novotel Siam Square although quite dated, the hotel was recently renovated so the in-room facilities are sufficient in some aspects but still overall a bit dated.
The location is the best thing about the hotel since it’s located in the middle of siam square.
The staff are also friendly and helpful. I would recommend for business travels that require prime location.
The room is nice and clean. Staffs are helpful. Food is delicious.
Location is good in the middle of town near many shopping centers.
A lot of good restaurants. The swimming is a little small and need cleaning. Apart from that everything’s good.
The location is perfect. A small market is next to the hotel.
One 7/11 is across the street and another around the corner.
Two shopping malls and a Skytrain Station are 2min away. I don’t have any negative points to mention.

They have shifted the location of breakfast from Eve Restaurant to Elefin Cafe(indoor), probably because the hotel is not full packed as It’s pandemic.
The breakfast is A la carte buffet. Price/person 550฿ There were 2-3 waiter and waitresses during the service and they were really nice and kind.
They remembered our menu as well Very detail oriented! Foods were nice but a little bit delayed when talking about only 1-2 tables only in the restaurant.
We have 1 luxury suit with the racecourse view and 1 room urban suite. We requested 2 rooms to be at the same floor and they managed to do so.
Upon arrival the room was nice and clean, they also cleaned it nicely everyday.
The checkin time is 14:00. I came early and the room was available so I got to my room faster!
The front office staff was very nice, he informed me about my delivered parcels and arranged them in my room.
Thank you so much!
He was very polite and quick with all answers as well.
Lunch & Dinner
Both services have the same menu but I’m not sure they have some special menu on some specific day.
Foods were ‘OK’ I recommended Thai Food. We ordered Chicken with Rice(Khao mun gai) and it was amazing.
We also had Sweet & Sour Fish with rice, Pesto Penne, Spicy spaghetti with sausage(I forgot the name) and Panini. Pesto was too oily and too much of garlic.
Staff again, the lady was helpful when I asked details about their rice, the rice was different from other restaurants and I recommended you to TRY!
Chef gave me the name and the package to see so I could get it for myself. Really appreciated 😇
Fitness & Pool

The little restaurant next door is a gem. Fresh food that tastes great and is like 2/3 $ main course.
They even drop to your room. We had food here 3 times in 3 days.

Room was spacious and accommodated all 5 of us easily.
Close to shops, eateries, market and shopping mall which were all down stairs.
Location is good and is in close proximity of different transport methods, although slightly a little further out from the city centre (bus can be caught from outside the hotel, takes about 15 minutes).
Would not hesitate to stay again when back in Bangkok.
The staff were very accommodating at the front desk. The room was clean and the view was great. I used the gym which had basic necessities. Also the pool was great.
Unfortunately they didn’t have buffet breakfast due to the hotel being under 50% occupancy but the discounted price of the room was a great deal for the service, location and amenities.

There’s also an adults-only cottage.
Freebies include full breakfast and river shuttles. Other amenities include 3 restaurants, 2 bars, and an infinity pool with a kids’ area. There’s also a fitness center, a spa and library.
There are pluses and minuses but I did not hesitate to give 5 / 5 to The Siam. It is definitely a luxurious hotel.
It is a mix of a boutique hotel, a museum and a luxury hotel. It is quite impressive. Service is excellent.
There is a library which is quite unusual nowadays and a lot of artwork, mainly Asian but also European. The room is nicely decorated, the bathroom is large and beautiful, but the shower is a bit old but very functional.
Breakfast service is professional, but it seems they are no able to go out of their routine.
I asked them for hot water mixed with honey and lemon juice and I had to ask twice, they did not really understand what I wanted.
When I asked for a fruit salad I had to explain what a fruit salad was.
The fitness club is fine, there is even a Thai boxing ring. TV screen would definitely be a plus.
There were individual TV monitors on the treadmills but they were not operational.
The swimming pool is near the river but it is a bit narrow.
Afternoon tea at the outside restaurant is great however they are a bit rigid.
When I asked for tea at the beginning and espresso at the end, they refused to include it in the set menu.
What difference does it make to refill tea or to serve a cup of coffee after tea?
Service is a bit slow. I did not mind on Sunday, but I had work to do on Monday and I would have appreciated faster service.
Toiletry is a bit limited for a hotel of this category. Of course, they bring to your room whatever you need if you ask but there was not even a tooth brush in the room.
Soap and shampoo are in a big bottle, it seems to be the trend to please the environmentalist but I prefer small individual bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner.
Individual bottles are more sophisticated than big / family size bottles.
There are many buildings around The Siam.
It is not very noisy, but it does not give the impression of quietness that I expected.
Honestly, besides the fact it is near the river, the area is not the best.
There is no dress code. You may like it …or not. Personally, I am not a fan of flip-flops and sleeveless shorts.

Video Review of Centara Grand At Centralworld
Lined with clear floor-to-ceiling windows, rooms at Centara Grand are elegantly decorated with soothing colours. Each is equipped with a flat-screen TV and personal safe. The spacious bathrooms come with a bathtub and bathrobes.
Love this place and will go back again for sure. Room was very cool I love the bathtub and about the water was running good, breakfast was awesome and dinner at Red Sky was very crowded on weekday need to recheck order many times but was pleasant.
It is an awesome hotel. Red Sky Bar is amazing and fantastic view. The food at Uno Mars is fantastic and delicious.
The room and bed is very comfortable.
The location is very good for transportation and very convenient to access department store.
The room and facilities available was much higher quality than expected and was on par with some of the best offered by competitors, especially at the price range of the rooms.
I’d have used the sporting facilities if the weather wasn’t so horrible in Bangkok. It was hot and smoggy, so I didn’t use the pool much, only for photos.
I chose a Deluxe World room and was given a room on Floor 32. It was quite spacious and everything felt luxurious and comfortable.
It was really enjoyable. The service staff was brilliant and housekeeping was perfect.
There was even a turndown service.
They’ve got a shuttle service to get to Central Chidlom and Central Embassy. It’s connected directly to Central World by elevator on Floor 7.
Extremely convenient location and access to everything.
My only regret was staying for just two nights.
When I return to Bangkok next year, I will definitely be choosing this hotel for more nights!
