Quiet rooms, great location, clean, pet friendly. I have never had an issue, staff has always been friendly and accommodating would definitely return and recommend.
Very nice and helpful staff. Very pleasant with regards to our travelling with a pet, usually it feels like we are an imposition once you mention an animal.
Nice room, very clean. Easy check-in and great location with Starbucks, Walmart and Canadian Tire nearby.
I’ve stayed here before and will stay again.
Great place for pet owners too.

This is our go to spot, especially travelling with dogs. Great room, comfortable beds and easy to get back on the highway.. the beds and the room really work for us.

They even have dog cookies and doggie gift bags , I mean really…how cool is that.

The room was immaculate and huge , super quiet , and very convenient with the pet rooms being on the main floor with parking right outside and an end door to take them out for walks and do their business.

They have an awesome free breakfast and there is a casual restaurant about 50 feet from the front of the hotel entrance.

Friendly, pet friendly which is super important when moving across the country.

Excellent restaurant servers really friendly and provided great service and excellent food.

I had to travel due job offer across the country. This was my third stop and it was really nice.

Rooms were clean, they have pet friendly option and parking was accessible from the room.

I felt welcome with my dog and also safe during my night there. I hope I can come back for vacation next time.

The Best Western Plus Nor’Wester just West of Thunder Bay proper was the 2nd night of our road trip to Alberta (and briefly into BC). We arranged for a pet friendly room and were assigned a ground floor room with access to a large grassy area via the sliding glass doors. It also made convenient access to and from the vehicle.

It was getting dusky when we got in so we were happy to get checked in quickly and to give the dog a chance to stretch a bit. We were tired so got our meals from the hotel restaurant.

As others have mentioned, the Fish Tacos were good.

As it was getting cool as well, we were not able to take advantage of the large outdoor deck and had our meal in the room.

As for the room itself. It’s a little on the tight side, but not too inconveniently so.

The bathroom has lots of counter space, the TV service is HD cable, and I was surprised at how large the in room fridge was.

This property still sports some older decor but it does seem like the HVAC controls have been upgraded to digital, even if it’s still controlled directly from the unit rather than from a wall mounted thermostat.

I did also like that the door entry is proximity card (rather than swipe card).

One more quibble. The dining/work table in the room offers tabletop AC and USB ports but not the night stand.

I needed to unplug the alarm clock to make room for may phone charger cube.

We needed to get on the road early so we got bagged breakfasts rather than eating in the restaurant.

It was nothing fancy, a granola bar, a factory made muffin, and a bottle of juice.

Lastly, the dog got a good run in the grassy area before we got into the car.
