The location is great – right at the waterfront and close to numerous cafes, restaurants, bars etc. The rooms are modern, clean and well-appointed.

The recent renovation has given the hotel a modern, contemporary feel and every single area, including our room, was absolutely spotless. The views from the room and the hotel lobby and bar are beautiful. The hotel is right on a small beach on the edge of town and has a really nice atmosphere.

Free wifi with no problems during the stay.

Breakfast offered a great deal of choice and is served until 10:30 which is excellent for those mornings when you don’t want to get up too early.

Breakfast is buffet style and there was a good choice including fruit and cereals, toast plus scrambled egg and bacon etc

The bar area on the top floor had a nice vibe and great views of the bay of Dubrovnik.

This hotel is 1 minute walk from the beach. Set in a picturesque Mediterranean garden leading down to a private beach, the Splendid hotel is situated in the Lapad Bay. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are provided. A bus leaves every 15 minutes for Dubrovnik’s Old Town.

The Hotel Splendid’s private beach, partly pebbly, partly concrete, features changing booths and showers. Sun loungers and parasols are also available against a fee.

The Splendid  has a wonderful location on the sea front with pleasant green gardens with fir trees, cypresses, laurel trees and other shrubs and flowers providing seclusion and shade.

The hotel was based on a beachfront road with lots of other hotels. There was a very little beach right outside the hotel but if you walked the 3 minute walk down the beach you would get to sunshine beach which is a bit a bigger stoney beach. Theres plenty of bars and places to eat a short walk away.

The rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms ( soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion provided but NO shower gel). I would suggest booking a room with a balcony since they face the sea. There are no irons or boards in the room. The plugs are the normal European type. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.

There is ample wardrobe space and there is a safe in the wardrobes. The fridge in your room is filled however you pay premium for the drinks and peanuts as in most hotels.

The breakfast buffet is impressive with so much to choose from. Coffee and other drinks are free at breakfast time.

The hotel is large and has 3 pools (2 outside and one inside ). The pools are impressive and the main pool outside feels like and infinity pool looking out at the sea. The pool is also placed in a sun spot so the sun is always out. The loungers are luxurious with shades you can adjust it.

There is a bar on the ground floor (floor 2). Here there is entertainment in the evening (like a man on the piano). The bar serves bar snacks during the day when the restaurant is closed.
