Where to stay in Barcelona
To explore the whole city you need at lest 4 days. Best way to discover it is either by foot or by metro. The stations are located very close to the all touristic objective so you might consider booking a hotel close to one.
I would not recommend the downtown area; yes, it’s nice to stay in a old and medieval building but the rooms in that establishment are very small. During the peak season in Barcelona, the main touristic area (Gracia, Las Ramblas) are packed with tourists. In the evening, can be quite noisy and that’s why my recommendation is not to stay in a hotel in central Barcelona. If you like to party, yes, downtown is the area for you.
Feetup Hotels is located 20min by metro via L3 (Green Line Barcelona) in a residencial, green and quite area of Barcelona.
Sant Jordi Hotels – Mambo Tango Barcelona is located close to the main bar & clubs area of Barcelona if it’s a good option for sleeping or not sleeping if you come to Barcelona for a weekend to drink & enjoy.
I stayed in both the hostels during my visits to Barcelona and I do recommend both.
Enjoy your stay in Barcelona, an amazing city!
