1. Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort 4* – Yamba Pet Friendly Accommodation

Blue Dolphin is on the Clarence River in Yamba, a 1.5 hour-drive south of Byron Bay. It is surrounded by lush gardens and has a private boat ramp and parking.

Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort offers a variety of comfortable accommodation, including waterfront villas and family cabins. Each unit has a fully-equipped kitchen and open-plan living and dining area. Some villas have a spa bath.

Set on 6 hectares along the Clarence River, this relaxed resort is 2 km from Yamba Wharf river ferry terminal and 3 km from Dolphin Park.

Casual cabins and 1- to 3-bedroom cottages have kitchenettes or kitchens, living areas and TVs, as well as furnished patios. Some share toilets and/or offer water views. Upgraded riverfront units add soaking or whirlpool baths, and/or BBQs. Wi-Fi is available.

There’s a bar, a convenience store, a campsite and a BBQ area, plus a lagoon-style pool with waterslides, a kids’ pool and a hot tub, as well as a game room. Other amenities include a private boat ramp, a tennis court and go karts. Parking is offered.

We stayed in a pet friendly cabin. Very well laid out, exceptionally clean, enough room for a family of five plus dog.

The caravan park is totally self contained, on the river. There’s two lots of pools, a servo next door, the cabins have two TVs, it’s only a short drive to Yamba. Yamba itself is a beautiful little town with excellent beaches, including a dog beach.

On Wednesdays they have a local farmers market which has a great variety of fresh produce.

The caravan park is also a few steps away from the local fisherman’s market serving cheap cooked fish and chips, and the best local prawns and oysters (and other fresh fish). Yamba has an abundance of great little restaurants.

The facilities are amazing with huge waterpark, cafe & licenced area. On arrival we were personally shown to our site & the area was leaf blown for a clean immediate set up. We will go back to the Clarence River. Best thing, it is pet friendly.

This resort offers several pools, a swim up bar, cafe, tennis court, plenty of kids’ activities and go carts.

Adjacent to the Clarence River and with spacious sites, the resort is only a short drive to beaches and shopping. There are cabins as well as powered and ensuite sites. The park is pet-friendly.

2. BIG4 Saltwater @ Yamba Holiday Park 4* – Pet Friendly Accommodation Yamba

Featuring a water park, outdoor pool, large inflatable jumping pillow and more, BIG4 Saltwater @ Yamba Holiday Park is located in Palmers Island, on the outskirts of Yamba. Guests enjoy free parking outside their cabin.

The air-conditioned cabins are a 10-minute drive from local shops and 15 minutes’ drive from the beautiful beaches at Yamba.

You can relax on your balcony and enjoy garden views or walk down to the river and experience a sunset. All cabins include a fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor furniture.

On 53 hectares of parkland beside the Clarence River, this casual resort is 12 km from Yamba Waters Holiday Park and 14 km from both Yamba Beach and the Clarence River Light.

Modern cabins offer studio or 2-bedroom accommodations with verandahs, free Wi-Fi and TVs, plus kitchenettes, dining tables and sitting areas. Some have bunk beds and/or BBQ grills.

There’s a water park, an outdoor cinema and a kids’ club, as well as a lagoon-style pool, a bocce pit and kayaks. A riverfront area offers fishing and a boat ramp. There are 2 communal kitchens and BBQ grills. Campsites for tents and RVs are also available.

Was travelling with our dog and finding good clean dog friendly accommodation can be hard however the cabin we stayed in was great. Clean, quiet and private + appropriate for a dog stay.

The park was very well presented and look after. The cabins are great value for money. There are many different types of cabins available to suit couples, families, people with a physical disability and people who have a dog.

The cabins are quite large, the kitchen area in the middle range cabin was very tight and small but still functional. There was a stove and microwave and large fridge. The bathroom was large and had a shower/bath combo which was nice.

What a nice caravan park. The sites are large and spacious, the staff are very friendly, the amenities are new and great. It is pet friendly “out of school holidays”.

You can have fires on your site – fire pits are supplied if you need one. It is a little out of town but super quite and relaxing. We will be recommending it to everyone.

3. Anchorage Holiday Park 4* – Dog Friendly Accommodation Yamba

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, a spa pool and free Wi-Fi, Anchorage Holiday Park is directly opposite the lovely Clarence River. Guests can relax on their private balcony.

Each air-conditioned chalet includes a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen. The living area offers a sofa, flat-screen cable TV and a DVD player. The private bathroom has a hairdryer and free toiletries.

After a busy day exploring the local area, you can cook a tasty meal on one of the gas BBQs. The property also offers a gift shop and a mini-market.

Set by the Clarence River, this simple lodging is 1.9 km from the Iluka Wharf and 2.6 km from the Iluka Nature Reserve.

Straightforward, country-style or Mediterranean-style, air-conditioned cabins with en suite bathrooms also feature TVs, DVD players, sitting areas and kitchens, as well as decks with seating. Some offer river views, bunk beds and/or spa-style bathtubs.

Amenities include a fishing jetty, a heated pool and a kids’ play area, as well as a guest kitchen, barbecues, and fish cleaning and freezing facilities.

Caravan and RV camping, and tent sites are also present. Parking is free. Pets are welcome with prior arrangement.

Could leave our little dog on enclosed verandah. Pet friendly. Kitchen very good. Bed comfy.

Beautiful and quiet environment. Right in front of the river:) The Cabin was a bit small and have only tiny little balcony.

Great facilities fireplace, pool and bbq areas. We loved seeing the camping site and will definitely go back camping there as you can have a fire and a dog!

Lovely quiet spot not far from town. Good facilities, very clean and the staff are fantastic and more than happy to help when they can. We stayed in a pet friendly cabin which is well equipped with a fenced in porch for the dog.

he park has a really friendly, personal, family-run feel to it. It is kept in beautiful condition with lovely trees, lawn and garden beds. It has a range of facilities including a small shop, pool, barbecues, camp kitchen. The amenities are invariably spotless. Pets are allowed.

Situated right on the Clarence River, it is ideal for boating and fishing. Iluka itself has a sleepy, yesteryear, coastal little town feel to it and it is only a short ferry ride or drive to Yamba. The beach too is a short drive away.

Campsite we were given was the best the park had. Amenities were clean, the pool and spa were awesome and a pet friendly park is always a bonus. We had a lovely time and would happily stay again.
