Hanoi is the second largest city in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh. Back in 2009 when I first visited the city I was my first city to be visited in South East Asia. I don’t remember the hotel I have stayed but I remember that I got scammed as in Vietnam.  Finding a gay friendly hotel Hanoi is the starting point for 2 main touristic destination in Northern Vietnam – Halong Bay and Sapa – the magnificent rice fields in the north.

As for the gay friendly hotel, after Ho Chi Minh it’s time to explore the best gay friendly hotel Hanoi.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.

Best Day Tours in Hanoi

How many days should I spend in Hanoi?
You want to visit more attractions outside of the Old Quarter and around Hanoi. Have more time to enjoy and relax. If you have 3 days in total 2 days in hanoi 1 day for a day trip to HalongLong Bay or Ninh Binh is recommended. If you have >= 5 days, 3 days in Hanoi would be better.

1. Hanoi Trendy Hotel & Spa 3* – Gay Hotels Hanoi

Hanoi Trendy Hotel & Spa

Our first recommendation in Ha Noi for a gay friendly hotel is a popular hotel among all the travellers.

First important this is that the hotel has changed it’s name into Hanoi Trendy Hotel & Spa. It’s the same hotel with the same amazing stuff and facilities.

Set in the vibrant Old Quarter, this informal hotel with a trendy vibe is 6 minutes’ walk from St. Joseph’s Cathedral, and 2 km from Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

Featuring warm decor and wooden floors, the relaxed rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, desks, minibars, and tea and coffee making facilities. Upgraded rooms add city views and/or extra beds. Room service is available.

Breakfast is complimentary. A laundry service, parking and airport transfers are available. Massage service is offered

This extremely affordable hotel is well situated in the heart of the Old Quarter which is where you want to stay to experience the culture of everyday Hanoi.

A short walk to the night market, lots of street food, vendors, Hoàn Kiếm Lake, the Hanoi Old Jail, 15 minutes on foot to the train station. The hotel lobby, eating area, and rooms are very nice, comfortable and incredibly clean – the marble walls literally shine.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the old town so a perfect location as a base. The staff are exceptional and made us feel at home. Ms Nga arranged all our taxis and helped make sure we knew where to to be etc.

The rooms are clean and beds comfy and it is a little oasis in the middle of the chaos of Hanoi.

As for the hotel, rooms are nice and spacious, cleaned and functional.

The breakfast buffet is set for a King. Literally. A standard spread of coffee, teas, juices, croissants, crusty buns, fresh cut pineapples, mango, passion fruit, cereals, toast, spreadable cheeses, yogurts etc. And then they bring you a menu to choose from an array of full breakfast jams like eggs and bacon, omelettes, crepes, pancakes, etc.

Few extra reasons to book Hanoi Trendy Hotel & Spa

– good clean room (with balcony) with a treat of fresh fruit provided each day
– amazing made to order breakfast from an extensive menu included
– arranged for a street food tour for us with pickup from the hotel.

Established in 2017, based in Hanoi, Vietnam, La Storia Ruby hotel & Travel has been best boutique hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, operator-ed by a team of professional & dedicated staff, providing travelers a comfortable & memorable stay and the best holiday packages as well. Conveniently located in the heart of Old Quarter Hanoi and just couples of minutes walking distance to Hoan Kiem lake, shopping centers, La Storia Ruby hotel is an ideal place.

20 nice and well- equipped rooms features soundproofed with internet-accessible computers. Free WiFi, International Buffet breakfast is also provided.

We were met by exceptionally friendly staff and shown to our room which was very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The balcony was large enough for a table and chairs and in the morning you could see the market sellers below setting up. The location is perfect – very central to all of the places we wanted to visit and very quiet, being down a narrow side street where cars aren’t able to drive. The professionalism and helpfulness of the staff including Tracy, Jasmine, and Tom, made it the perfect stay.

The staff went above and beyond the call of duty and provided exceptional service. We highly recommend La Storia Ruby Hotel and will be back again before too long we hope

The hotel rooms are great and location was amazing (short walk to lake, food and markets).

The family suite with 2 queens is an absolute joy after two nights in a small and expensive Singapore hotel and the extra space meant we weren’t always in each other’s way. There are plenty of room for all our luggage and personal effects. Breakfast consisted of the typical buffet type choices as well as an a la cart menu to choose from.

There is still a good selection of yoghurt, Asian food, pastries and fruit and other amenities makes the stay very convenient

Our suggestion is to upgrade to the room with balcony.

Would definitely recommend to our gay friends and family and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
