Absolutely gorgeous room. The beds are extremely comfortable, brilliant nights sleep. Hand sanitizer left by the bed.

The bathroom is lovely. Nice big walk in shower, shampoos, body wash etc. Lovely white fluffy towels.
Ordered 2 sweets from room service at 2’am came in no time. Also ordered pasta the following evening from room service which was extremely nice.

The allocated room was good size to what we expected.Must say food was amazing and the dinner service was exceptional all due to the polite and humorous staff who helped make our meals more enjoyable.

Rooms are clean, service is good and food is amazing. We dined at the restaurant a couple of times during our stay and even went back after we checked out. Mr. Sam Robertson at the restaurant provided a wonderful service – very professional, available, attentive and quick to take care of our needs. He was definitely one of the reasons we went back again. I recommend this hotel and whenever you visit the restaurant ask for Mr Robertson.

This hotel has all of the creature comforts that you would expect in a US stay. We frequently stay at Marriott properties, and it more than lives up to the Marriott name. For Africa it is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. We wanted to feel as close to home as possible. The room was clean, well appointed, very friendly staff , and the concierge services were tops.

The availability of food and drink from morning to night is wonderful. Well, why not 5 circles?; being a career educator, there is always room for improvement. The issues I have will be placed under staff meeting and is likely the reason that it is not a Five Star Hotel. In General, it is still a great place to stay.

It’s right next door to the Marina Mall which allowed us to exchange USD’s into Cedis and even had grocery store in the mall. There are two nightclubs right next to the mall also. All walking distance. The grounds of the hotel had an art gallery, executive lounge (for Marriott Elite members) and outdoor pool/bar which was amazing. They even allowed restaurant diners to eat inside or outside. We chose outside for most of our trip. We did breakfast which was extensive. It included local dishes, in addition to omelettes, pancakes and such. Dinner was good also. They offered a la carte or buffet. Security inside and outside of the hotel was very friend and recognized us every-time we moved throughout the property.

2. Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City 5* – Gay Friendly Hotels Accra Ghana

Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City

Offering an outdoor pool and fitness centre, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City is situated in Accra in the Greater Accra Region, 1.1 km from Independence Square.

The hotel has a year-round outdoor pool and views of the pool, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. Free private parking is available on site. There is free shuttle service at the property.

Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City – Accra will provide the only five-star luxury service, accommodations, and meetings facilities in Accra. Opened Q4 2015, the property quickly became the top hotel in the city for hosting a steady stream of visiting government delegations, corporate, NGOs, and international business travelers taking part in the transformation of the 2nd most dynamic economy in the West Africa.

The property has 269 luxury rooms (largest room size in Accra), suites (the highest suite inventory in the city), largest F&B offerings, largest conference facilities and the largest SPA in West Africa, a perfect mix of categories to meet the needs of corporate and conference visitors to the country.

The poolside view is the best for the sunrise in my opinion but remember that Ghana has mosquitoes if you want to enjoy the balcony at night…also it faces the East so statistically your room will be cooler in the evening (Engineering secret).

Excellent hotel, nice facilities. As any high level standard 5* hotel quite expansive. Very big place with many facilities. Very good organization of different services.

I enjoyed my Stay in Kempinski, hotel is luxurious in-spite of being in Ghana, rooms are spacious and nice.

The hotel itself is vast (everywhere seems to be a long way!). The rooms are more than nice! Really comfortable and spacious. We are in (on) the ‘executive’ floor, so I cannot comment on the other rooms. From the huge lobby, via reception and bar, there is access to the lifts to all floors.

A nice touch here is that your room key activates the lift and will take you only to your floor and the 3rd floor (for access to the pool, gym, spa and restaurant and a garden (3rd floor!). Be prepared to eat yourself to an early death

. There is so much food (so much!). And it’s great food! If you don’t want to dine in the restaurant there is an informal Lebanese style arrangement in the ground floor garden and bar or lobby. The garden here has lots of shady trees, so it’s not but not too sunny. The staff are all high quality, very helpful and super polite. Everything takes place like magic.

Went for breakfast, came back to a made up room, no fuss! No one has tried to sell us artworks (if you’ve been to Ghana you will be familiar with this one) No one has pressurised us to take their car and there are no taxi’s on site (readily available outside the gates. Security is very well taken care of! All in all I cannot recommend the hotel enough! I will be coming back.

The Emporium attached to the hotel, has a variety of shops and businesses including, a bank and cash machine, chemist, mobile phone/computer shop and a hair and beauty salon. “We speak your language.

If you are searching for a place that is quite, clean, cooled to american low standard and with friendly staff you are at the right place. Safety controls and checks looked good and it is an oasis in the middle of Accra. Pool is big and very good to relax at and restaurant food as well. However, despite the african art it is a bit boring to be in a place that could be anywhere in the world. And you pay a big price premium for all the comfort.

An excellent international hotel in the centre of Accra. The facilities were excellent, including a very good buffet dinner, which although good value by international standards is a lot more expensive than regular restaurants in Accra. The hotel is well-positioned in terms of sites – Independence Square, the football stadium, the national theatre, and the Arts Centre (craft village) are all nearby, within a 15 minute walk. There aren’t any restaurants nearby (as far as I can tell) that are within walking distance. If you want an international standard “oasis of calm” while staying in Accra, then this is likely to be one of the best places to stay.

It is a well constructed building, in a great location with all the amenities you would expect of a 5* Hotel. It even has an in-house, ATM and Pharmacy.

The beds are comfortable, the room was completely soundproof and the views overlooking the pool and gardens was delight.

The airport shuttle bus was prompt and the journey from the airport to the hotel was smooth/quick.

Food was of a high quality and was internationally varied.

The staff have been trained to a high standard. They were courteous and always ready to assist. The Hotel employees who stood out the most were Millicent & Gifty in the Deli. Michael, Mary & Belinda in the restaurant and finally Sameh (the Finance Director) who was welcoming and professional.

The gym was air-conditioned and the internet was fast and reliable for African standards.

This was a splendid hotel, with very nice rooms and common spaces, great service, and wonderful staff. The location is like an oasis, with businesses in the hotel, lots of transportation, and ocean views on the upper floors. The decor throughout the hotel was very nice. The hotel was spotlessly clean. But the food was the best. Variety, taste and presentation were second to none. I was there for about 5 days, and there was an amazing consistency in the food.

The rooms are spacious and with all the comforts you can expect from this institution in Accra. The rooms are very well equipped and service to your convenience.

The main restaurant (Sankofa) is packed with local Ghanaian dishes as well as continental dishes. Do NOT miss the dessert buffet, its awesome at any given time. Attention to detail and service was great. During my stay, Linda, a waiter serving customers with a smile went the extra mile, far beyond what would be expected. She actually sourced some cocoa pods for me from out of town – a gem of a server.

The management arrange a cocktail once a week to interact with their guests, and what an amazing touch that was.

All in all a pleasant experience, i will be back for Movenpick hospitality.
