Texas on June 26, 2003, and same-sex marriage has been legal in the state since January 6, 2015.

Casa de Solana Bed & Breakfast is where old world charm meets modern amenities and where epic romance begins!Casa de Solana Bed & Breakfast takes its name from the original owner, Don Manuel Lorenzo Solana, a member of one of the city’s first Spanish families. Today, Casa de Solana is a 10-room, full-service St. Augustine B&B. You’ll often be greeted by the smell of something fabulous going on in the kitchen.
The dining room presents with gorgeous dark wood floors, intimate seating, and elegant place settings, and each room has been uniquely decorated by the owners. Guests and passer-byers alike love the seasonally manicured courtyard with jasmine gone wild and an impressive collection of romantic cherub statuary, making it the perfect wedding venue.
We love to spend Christmas in St. Augustine. Of all of our accommodations thus far, Casa De Solana is on the very top of our list. The first notable amenity is the lovely courtyard, like a private garden plaza that is set with old bricks and lined with vegetation and the sounds of water features. Next–location is everything! This Inn is right in the heart of the historic district and across the main drag from the marina. Just a 2 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the famous St. George Street. Also, the private free parking lot is only a couple blocks away.
The rooms and suites are very comfortable and feel like the old historic flare of St. Augustine, yet are very comfortable. But, what sets this B and B apart from anywhere else I have stayed before, are the 2 lead managers that are so friendly and welcoming. Kathy, (General Manager) and Lynn cater to every need. They are not only there to check you in and out, but they make you feel as if you have been friends for years. The breakfast is made fresh on site every morning. The coffee is always hot and happy hour is served up in the courtyard daily. Fresh baked cookies are put out for a nightly dessert. If you want a relaxing, no hassle experience, the Casa De Solana is your Inn.
. The rates for Casa de Solana were the first thing to catch my eye. They were competitive and the rooms were large. Finally, the week before our stay, I booked the British Suite. Upon our arrival we were greeted and treated like friends. The room didn’t disappoint, it was large with a sitting area the size of a small living room, a beautiful private room on the third floor and a jacuzzi tub in the room. The ceilings were low but were fine for my husband who was 5’10.
Breakfast was absolutely amazing for both mornings we were there. The innkeeper even asked my opinion on one he was considering and the next morning, the guests were raving.
The location is PERFECT for visiting the historic district. We were right in the center of town and were able to walk to everything. We didn’t touch our car the entire time we were there. We will definitely be back soon.

Our service by Rich was quite personable, and the breakfast was delicious and perfect portions. The bedchamber was Victorian style, very clean, comfortable, and great AC. We were very close to all the attractions whether by trolley or on foot if you choose. The location was quiet, hardly any traffic (one-way street). We liked the fact that we were close to St. George’s Street, and the secluded area of the Bed and breakfast. It would be our pleasure to stay again at the Penny Farthing Inn.

We enjoyed our stay in our quirky yet comfortable Victorian style room. The quirky style and extra touches like sherry in the room and happy hour with wine, nibbles and desserts were great but we also appreciated all the modern conveniences ( AC, TV, good shower etc).
We got a great welcome from Marie and Dave. Breakfast was interesting, always good quality, beautifully cooked and presented but a surprise ( which was ok for me but not always to my husbands taste). We loved the location as we parked the car and walked everywhere, they are really close to a Trolley Bus stop for those who prefer to take the bus.

Tucked on a narrow street among other Victorianstyle homes, this bed and breakfast is the perfect place for quiet time, yet a short walk to all the attractions downtown St. Augustine has to offer.

The rooms are exceptional, kept in an English-Victorian style that fits the owners who are Brits. Breakfast is served in a small dining room. Not exceptional, but satisfying. A covered deck is just the place to bring your reading material, and relax with a glass or wine and cheese that is offered in the afternoons.

There’s ample parking in the rear so that you can take advantage of walking or taking the tourist trolleys that run throughout the town.

Bayfront Marin House has the style of the past with the conveniences of today including double Jacuzzi tubs, body jet showers, flat screen televisions, fireplaces, private decks with water views and more.

We stayed in the Marie Antoinette room. It’s elegant, sweet, with just the right amount of luxury. We loved the private balcony facing the water, the huge bathtub (with some serious jets!), and the decor.

This spot is in the heart of St. Augustine. Parking was simple, and once we parked our car, we never needed it again! Everything was within walking distance.

In addition to the impeccable service, the location is great–in a quieter area yet within easy walking distance to the center of Saint Augustine. The parking area is a few blocks away but it is also right at one of the trolley stops if you prefer that method to avoid fighting traffic. View from Governor White and the lawn was fantastic.

One of the best places we have ever stayed! Very clean, service is awesome, respond to texts immediately, right on time with everything, great views, relaxing and romantic! The breakfasts and evening “snacks” are a bonus on top of everything else. The food is excellent! Great location to within walking distance of a lot of places if you stay at the downtown location. 5 stars easily for this place.

Marie Antoinette room exceeded our expectations: we enjoyed our own private entrance, the view of the bay from every window as well as from our private porch; cozy décor, the most comfortable bed. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, the breakfasts were plentiful and creative and the happy hour was a great touch! Perfect location, within a walking distance to St. George Street and most local attractions and restaurants.

The hotel is right across the street from the water, with great views of the boats, and in historic area of St. Augustine, with easy walking in the whole city, St. Augustine itself is charming, authentic and very pedestrian friendly. The Bayfront Marin House is very guest friendly, there is a wonderful breakfast served at cute outdoor tables looking at the harbor, and there is also a lovely desert and cocktail hour in the evening to enjoy.

Location is right near town, but far enough to be in the quiet area, bay views are spectacular. More importantly, this is a clean, gay friendly, attentive, wonderfully decorated and outstanding place to stay. All rooms are bright and cheery and staff waits on you hand and food. Everyone is great..the food for breakfast outstanding and cocktail hour is inventive and fun. Will definitely go back.
