A Boutique Hotel that’s Both Historic and hip. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and Kansas City’s most historic hotel, completed a $20 million gut renovation at the end of 2016. Dine in Tavernonna Italian Kitchen, get coffee at Kilo Charlie, and come in for drinks at our speakeasy, P.S. Can a hotel feel grand and yet intimate at the same time? Hip but never stuffy? That’s the allure of Hotel Phillips, a historic gem in the heart of Kansas City’s business, entertainment and arts district. Your experience starts with our breathtaking Art Deco lobby that made us Kansas City’s most celebrated hotel in 1931.
Located in the downtown district of Kansas City, Missouri,,this 20-story Hilton property is a 1930s-era art deco gem. The closest parking is in a public garage around the corner from the hotel.
Lovely hotel with an art deco vibe. The lobby is beautiful with dark wood and luscious seating. Made me think I should have had a flapper outfit on. The room was well-appointed. Overall, very nice hotel. It should be noted that you can’t access the parking lot through the hotel. While the parking building is a very short walk away (right behind the hotel), there is no direct access.
Also, my room didn’t have a mini-fridge. Not sure if it was just my room that was missing one or if the same goes for all rooms. Neither the parking nor the fridge situation was a deal breaker but merely something to note.
If you love turn of the century charm and want to be in the best part of the city this is your hotel. My favorite place to stay in KC and the prices are always reasonable. It’s just few blocks to the Power & Light District that has everything you need.
One block to a “Whole Foods” similar grocer and a long walk to Messenger Coffee and Ibis Bakery’ the best coffee and breakfast in town. Beautiful art deco rooms and the on-site options for food and drinks are fabulous.
The Hotel Phillips is a gorgeous gem of a hotel. Having recently undergone a $27 million renovation, all rooms are up to date and plush offering comfortable, modern bed spaces with all the charm of a 1930’s hotel. The ground level cafe, restaurant, and speakeasy(!) are all fitting with the vibe of the hotel, and the main lobby features the gorgeous and historic statue of the goddess Dawn.
The hotel amenities and quality of service from the staff is excellent value for the cost of the stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in town.

KC has a shortage of nice hotels. I had stayed at the 21c in Arkansas before and loved that property. So I was thrilled to find out they opened another property in KC. Such a cool building. Rooms were really comfortable. You can tell they spent a ton of money to restore and upgrade this historic building. Love that there is a real museum on site. Get a glass of wine and take your time looking at all the exhibits. Highly recommend if you want an upscale and unique experience in KC.

This is honestly one of the coolest hotels. It is such a unique concept. Rooms were spotless, with all the modern amenities, but still lots of historic charm. Bed was so comfortable, like you cannot move your arms in the morning because you slept so soundly, comfortable. Staff was friendly, valet was fantastic, restaurant was terrific.

The hotel is lovely and it has been updated very well. The room was comfortable and very attractive. I love that they have a Nespresso machine – best in-room coffee ever! The bathroom is updated, but a little art deco, too. Nice that there’s a robe.

The hotel is downtown and a couple of blocks from the trolley, so convenient to get to Power & Light District and Crown Center. Great place overall.

We enjoy the old, historic buildings and the renovations made to reflect a cool, hip hotel. The KC location is a little off the beaten path but worth a try. Hotel 21c is still walkable to the Power and Light District and Convention Center.

Rooms are spacious, light and bright. We enjoyed breakfast in the hotel restaurant, The Savoy, and then working out in the exercise facility (be sure to look up!) Don’t forget to take a peek in the lobby bar and notice the booth where presidents Truman, Ford, and Regan frequented.

And, of course, the three foot penguins make an appearance throughout the hotel.

There’s a cozy lobby cafe with an all-day menu, as well as a refined Italian restaurant and a rooftop bar specializing in cocktails.

Gorgeously designed rooms and suites help define the Crossroads experience. But more, this is where historic and modern meet. Where people from all over and around the corner come together. The energy, creativity and passion that define the city and neighborhood can call this place home. Crossroads, just like Kansas City, is at its core about community and connection. At every turn, we tapped local artists, designers and purveyors to share their talent and creativity with us in places public and private.

This is a beautiful newly opened hotel in Crossroads neighborhood of KC. Close to a lot of great places and things to do. Easy to get around. The staff here is amazing and so friendly and helpful! Definitely will stay again.

The XR Cafe or bar is purposefully crafted in a way to allow intentional time. The drinks are great and the food is amazing. I will always recommend the Crossroads Hotel because of their engagement with the community they are in. Yoga classes, run groups, food drives, and more.

The Crossroads Hotel has been beautifully restored and is a perfect combination of old and new. The customer service at the hotel is excellent.

The beds are extremely comfortable and you can tell the furniture in each room has been carefully and thoughtfully selected.

The Crossroads Hotel is located in the Crossroads District in downtown Kansas City. The hotel is a great alternative to “traditional” hotels. It is a renovated warehouse and is boutique style, so there is character abounding throughout with all the modern amenities. The lobby bar and restaurant are great places to gather, eat and drink…a great place to start your evening or spend the entire evening.

The rooftop bar was closed due to my stay being in the winter, but I hear it is one of the best in the city. Since this is a smaller, boutique-style hotel, everything is easier, including parking. I absolutely loved the vibe of this place. There are so many bars, coffee shops, and restaurants within walking distance which makes it so convenient. I definitely recommend staying here if you are wanting to find a unique hotel experience downtown KC.

This is a cool, boutique hotel right in the heart of downtown KC. Many good restaurants are within walking distance as is the street car (which is free), and can take you to several other excellent shopping and dining areas. Hotel staff was one of the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. Bar and restaurant are lively, with a lot of locals along with hotel guests. Rooms are a bit small but very clean and comfortable.

Loved what they have done with the building! Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! Room was very nice! We really enjoyed our getaway and the ambience of the hotel. We enjoyed time in the lobby bar before walking to a nearby restaurant for dinner- very convenient location.
