Gay Friendly Hotels Lviv

Guide to Gay Friendly Hotels in Lviv Ukraine (2024 Updated)

As very traditional Christian Orthodox society, Ukraine is mostly not as much frowned and it is a conservative country especially for gays but in the capital city of Kiev you can find a few gay friendly bars and as well gay friendly hotels Lviv, a popular tourist destination.

Lesbian, gay, bisexuals, and transgender (LGBT) persons in Ukraine may face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Noncommercial, same-sex sexual activity between consenting adults in private is legal in Ukraine, but prevailing social attitudes are often described as being intolerant of LGBT people and households headed by same-sex couples are not eligible for any of the same legal protections available to opposite-sex couples.

Lviv is a city in western Ukraine, around 70 kilometers from the border with Poland. Traces of its Polish and Austro-Hungarian heritage are evident in its architecture, which blends Central and Eastern European styles with those of Italy and Germany. In High Castle Park, the mountaintop ruins of a 14th-century castle provide panoramic views of the city’s green-domed churches and the surrounding hills.

Modern, quiet hotel located in the city centre. Wonderful location – 5-10 mins walk to key landmarks (main square, Dominican cathedral, Prospekt Svobody, Arsenal and more). Comfortable bed and good breakfast, although one day there was not enough room in the restaurant for all guests during rush hour (9-10 am) and we had to wait a bit. Hotel restaurant serves tasty pizza with good service (the waiter remembered our order from the previous day!).

There is a hot and cold beverages area for guests in the lobby where you could get complimentary coffee to go too.

Excellent central location 5 mins walk from Rynok Square. Smart, clean rooms and bathrooms as expected from Ibis. Italian themed restaurant often crowded with locals. Good breakfast buffet. Most impressive feature is the extremely helpful staff.

This is newly built and quite nice hotel, perfectly located within 7-10 mins walk to main Rynok Square. Hotel looks quite good, and fresh, with bright cheerful colors, stylish decor, and atmosphere. Upgraded rooms looked much better than Ibis in Kyiv. Service was also good and pleasant, the price was quite reasonable.

This is a great hotel to stay in. We had a lovely room with a great view over the city. It was clean and there was free bottled water…wouldn’t like to even brush your teeth with the tap water!

It is very central and just 5 mins walk from the main square. It is close for the majority of trams and the No1 stops outside and this goes to the train station.

All the staff spoke English. Yaroslav had fantastic spoken and unusually written English..A real asset.

Central square is a 5 minutes walk. Excellent service, team speaks English very well, great service overall, fantastic breakfast. Hotel caters lots of international visitors. We had room 302 which is at the corner of the building and has a very nice view over the city. On December 31st each guest received a small goodie and a post card with best wishes, very thoughtful. Complementary coffee and drinking water in the lobby and in your room. We definitely visit again.

This hotel is centrally located in the heart of Lviv and very nearby to the town square.
Check in and out was fast and efficient. The room was cleaned to an excellent standard. All staff were well organised and very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and had a great variety of food.

The hotel is very nice, bright and new. You have everything you need in your room. My room had an amazing city view. The service is absolutely excellent. All staff is highly professional and attentive. Breakfast is amazing.

The rooms are all clean and well maintained. The have the most high tech shower and toilets I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The breakfast was excellent, healthy and sufficient. It’s pretty much self service.

recommend this hotel for great location, its cleanliness, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Location is great, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to the main attractions. Astoria hotel has modern yet elegant interior. It seems that every room in this hotel has its unique design. My room was spacious, clean with super comfortable bed and pillows.

Bathroom is spacious, contemporary with handicap accessibility. Great complimentary is definitely a delicious breakfast and staff is so attentive, they are right there to assist with any request. I will definitely want to come back.

To my surprise the Astoria Hotel in Lviv was a high end Boutique Hotel right in the heart of the city centre! My room, though not spacious was beautifully and tastefully decorated in modern tones. The bathroom was trendy and immaculate.

Wifi was provided free of charge and a breakfast buffet was offered in elegant surroundings. The staff was very helpful and particularly friendly.

Location is just in the heart of the city! Very welcome, polite and helpful stuff. Caring but not imposing service. Modern and comfortable rooms. Everything is made of high quality materials that is quite rare nowadays. Prices definitely low comparing to european ones. But what i like most of all is breakfast in really beautiful restaurant.

The selection of food reached the top of perfections. The quality of products can meet up expectations of sophisticated gourmets. And this delightful Napoleon cake!!!! mmmm… i’d better stop right now not to get my mouth watering.

The only thing there is no parking at the hotel. But we parked our car at the backstreet of the hotel. And light in the bathroom reminds light in hospital somewhat. The rest was great.

I think it is a very good hotel both for business purpose and city tours. Highly recommended.

It is centrally located, which is perfect for walking to City Center / Old Town. The breakfast buffet is diverse and gourmet. The seating is so comfortable and elegant. The rooms are modern and super clean.

Located just behind the Opera House on the main thoroughfare, this elegant hotel is as central as you can get. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. I slept very well each night of my stay and I think that’s the first time I’ve come across a heated toilet with it’s own on the wall remote control toilet.

The staircase of this hotel is a masterpiece of design and overall the hotel exudes a reserved touch of luxury. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant in the hotel and although I didn’t eat there, the menu looked really good.

Breakfast was perfect. A buffet with a very large selection of hot and cold foods and the coffee is very good.

I most definitely would stay here again if I am in Lviv again.

Nice hotel located a few hundred meters from Old Town in a busy street with a lot of car traffic, but you are not disturbed by traffic noise!

The hotel is extremely cozy with its old-fashioned decor (in the good way). Rooms are spacious, bath rooms are well equipped and beds are comfortable. Staff is typically East European: Reasonable welcoming, but distant and far from smiling.

The bedrooms are very good , spacious with comfortable beds and good bathrooms . The restaurant and public rooms are delightful being decorated with William Morris and other Arts and Crafts design wallpaper . Furniture and paintings are well chosen too . The rooftop bar is a delight , providing a panoramic view of the Old Town of Lviv.

The bed was large and really comfortable. We enjoyed having drinks and light meals on the roof terrace(hotel guests get 10% discount) as had lovely rooftop views of Lviv and the service was great. It is in easy walking distance to the centre of the old town and also lots of restaurants and bars at the back.

What a charming, beautiful, well appointed hotel, on a quiet street in the heart of just where you want to be in this lovely city. From the very first friendly welcome at check-in we knew we had chosen wisely. Every person working at the Swiss Hotel takes such pride in his/her work. The hotel is small, personal, with an eye to detail and so beautifully appointed and decorated with William Morris wallpapers and fabrics.

The breakfast was as delicious as the room was inviting and cozy, and dinner on the terrace, which we enjoyed twice, was delicious with an exquisite view overlooking the charming old town of Lviv. To top it off, they have a particularly well-versed sommelier and an extensive and varied wine list. The Swiss Hotel provided for all our needs and we look forward to returning.

This hotel is excellent. It is situated in the centre of old part of Lviv. There is available low cost secured parking place for your car if you come with it. Hotel is furnished with quit new but old faction furniture, so you feel like you are in some palace or castle. We liked it very much.

Prices of the hotel and food there are very low because of low value of Ukraine money comparing to Euro.

Within 5 – 10 minutes of walking, you are in the old town full of excellent coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants.
