You cannot get a more convenient location to downtown Cheyenne. Very walkable location. The staff was very friendly. Hotel itself is old but in overall good condition. The only real downside was that the bathrooms could use an update. Other than that, it’s comfortable and quiet and the breakfast is pretty good. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is right in the downtown heart of Cheyenne. But before you think that’s a great location, its really not. I found the downtown area quite deserted and things to do / restaurants sparse. It’s obvious its one of those cities that most people / shops and services are now in the suburbs. Lots of empty buildings and nowhere but the hotel to eat.

Across the road is the historical railway plaza with museum. I saw only one other couple visiting. It looks to me like Cheyenne is trying to bring back life in the heart but its not quite there yet. To the hotel, we enjoyed our stay. The room was nice (2 queen room) if not a little smaller than similar places we stayed due to its age. The bathroom was small but the hotel had so many historical touches such as old pieces of furniture, photos, lovely lobby and western style furniture, that we really enjoyed the ambiance. We ate dinner in the dining room.

The food was lovely (prime rib, pork with vegetables and pie dessert options) but more expensive than we usually spent on our budget. They also included a good breakfast the next morning for free. We had to forage for a parking spot but as we got there mid-afternoon we found one right out front of the hotel, so that was good for us but I’m sure not all would be so lucky. It’s rumored to be haunted but we saw nothing unusual. If you enjoy history and old world charm, I’m sure you will enjoy the Plains.

Very nice hotel, modern & clean. Room had a microwave and fridge which we greatly appreciated. Breakfast buffet was standard, but it also had gluten-free options. The gluten-free individually wrapped cereal was very nice to have and was wonderful .since it was wrapped separately, it had no chance of cross- contamination. Thanks for being inclusive to those of us who must eat gluten-free.

The employees were very personable, especially welcoming after a long day on the road. It’s only a short drive to downtown.

Not a luxury hotel, but provides a consistent standard of guest welcomeness, room cleanliness, and efficiency of check-in/check-out. The hotel is well located and provides easy access to the highway for those traveling on.

Very clean rooms. Impressed by professional welcome desk when checking in. What we liked the most was the delicious hot breakfast! We could dine in or take it to go. the cooks were so very nice and accommodating to us at a very dark time in our lives. We loved the breakfast so much we copied it at home!!

Our room was huge! We got a free upgrade to a suite. It was so nice. Everything seemed clean and new. There was a separate sitting area and a massive television.

The breakfast was served by two very attentive staff members (who were also wearing masks). There were several hot items available, as well as yogurt, bagels, etc. We were able to get as much as we wanted to eat.

We would definitely stay at this Comfort Inn & Suites next time we are in the Cheyenne area. This is an exceptional hotel.

Beautiful hotel, near the Buffalo Bill Museum. The hotel has a great restaurant and bar on site.
Down the street are great shops and eating locations also if you are an Elks or VFW member they are located on 12 st. Wonderful city and people.

This hotel is top notch. We had breakfast at the attached restaurant both mornings of our stay The pool/hot tub area was nice and inviting. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated, and I strongly suggest getting one with a balcony….we enjoyed the view of the mountains and watching the world go by.

The hotel is a nice, flat walk to restaurants, a nice park with $5 mini golf and a concert shell with live music, and the magnificent Buffalo Bill Museum of the West. Cody (which we all loved) is pricey this time of year, but for a modern, spotless hotel with friendly service, we considered it money VERY well spent.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and were very pleased. We used this hotel for our Yellowstone trip. The outside is very nice and welcomes you into a large open reception area that had a fire going in the fireplace. It was very clean and the front desk staff were friendly and greeted us as we walked in. The room was 2 queens and spacious with a microwave, mini fridge, walk in shower and satellite tv.
