The perfect location means it’s easy to get around the local area or Ferry to Manhattan. The rooms are generous in size with an industrial & “green” decor. I absolutely love the little eco touches such as filtered water station and recycling boxes. They really care about the environment and their guests enjoyment.

Amenities include a stylish restaurant featuring a locally sourced, seasonal menu, a buzzy rooftop lounge/bar, a spa and a fitness room.

Finding an ideal romantic boutique hotel in New York City does not have to be difficult. Welcome to the Ink 48 Hotel, a nice option for travelers like you. Guest rooms offer a flat screen TV, air conditioning, and a minibar, and Ink48 makes getting online easy as free wifi is available. You can also take advantage of some of the amenities offered by the boutique hotel, including a 24 hour front desk, a concierge, and a rooftop terrace. In addition, guests can enjoy a fitness center and a rooftop bar during their visit.

he location is good. We found a free street parking spot and are walking/cabbing around Manhattan. We can see times square neon from our room, and found it an easy walk to get downtown. There are lots of cool little restaurants and businesses if you get out on the street between the hotel and the downtown.

The room looks just like the pictures., and is very stylish and comfortable. We got a $15 voucher for the minibar, and a $30 voucher toward the spa. It was easy to stow our two suitcases. The windows/view of the skyline are fabulous. A very nice bathroom and a full-length mirror. Lots of coat hangers, an iron, robes and a blowdryer. You can get a flat iron and lots of other stuff if you call room service.

The rooftop bar is gorgeous, and seems to be the hip place to go for people not staying at the hotel.

Seating in the lobby for the free cocktail hour is limited, the room AC is loud, and the lighting in the bathroom vanity lighting is dim, making makeup/hair a little adventurous. If you want to be eco-conscious/don’t want fresh linens daily, you need to write a note.

I love the elevators that have a funky wall that when you lean on it, makes the experience totally wild. I love that Ink48 caters to our pets and also has a fishbowl program if you need a pet for the night! I enjoy that the hotel rests on the edge of the hustle and bustle. It seems as though it’s NYC’s finest kept secret and only those privy can experience this gem of a place.

There is a level of exclusivity as a result of the rooftop bar. They prep your bedroom for you, so that when you arrive back, it is comfortable – even leaving the light on for you! A boutique hotel that is eco-conscious is highly recommended.

The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square but has very easy access to the Hudson River Park footpath. It overlooks the Intrepid Sea and Air museum. With a room on a high floor overlooking the river, you can have great views of the displayed aircraft.

Check in was very friendly and efficient. We booked a Hudson Suite. Although not cheap it was very spacious with a separate bedroom and living area. The latter had a sofa bed but the two are open plan – there is no divider between them. With floor to ceiling windows the view across the river is panoramic.

The suite also had a spacious bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub, and complimentary Atelier Bloem amenities. The hotel also has a great rooftop area with a bar. In the middle of summer this was packed with both residents and visitors. There are great views over the city from the top.

Another highlight is the hotel’s restaurant, PRINT. The food was exceptional and service friendly and attentive. The staff were also very knowledgeable.

Although not the most central hotel on Manhattan, I loved the location. It was a lot calmer than areas around Times Square and I loved the access to the Hudson River Park footpath which you can follow pretty much all the way down to Battery Park; a walk I thoroughly enjoyed!

I would highly recommend the Kimpton Ink48 and will gladly return!

luxurious 99 seat screening room and fully equipped gym.”,”viewport”:”DESKTOP”}]}”>

Crosby Street Hotel is situated on a quiet cobbled street in the heart of New York’s vibrant SoHo neighbourhood. There are 86 bedrooms and suites over 11 floors. Interior design by Kit Kemp reflects a fresh, contemporary style. There is The Crosby Bar, a private leafy garden, guest drawing room, several stylish private event and meeting rooms, a luxurious 99 seat screening room and fully equipped gym.

Located in a quiet yet very central location in Soho, the Crosby St Hotel is very close to perfection. Great ambience, terrific design by Kit Kemp (including very interesting artwork), perfect rooms, outstanding service, Gold Leed certified, two great patios, everything about this hotel is top notch and appealing. It even has its own cinema! Been to a few 5-star hotels in Soho: the Crosby St out does them all by a mile.

Beyond the luxury and top-notch location in Soho, some of the details are what really made this place fabulous and unique:
– Turndown service includes a complimentary Evian bottle for each guest, as well as very pleasant smelling (spa-like) room spray, also these unique French cuff links (at least I think that’s what those were)
– The concierge and staff went above and beyond to accommodate a special request I had for surprising my mom upon arrival w/ a note and bottle of wine; the bell man also ran several blocks during a rain storm to hail a cab for us…these acts are above and beyond what your typical NYC hotel will do
– back Garden is lush, tranquil, and beautifully decorated. It’s a gorgeous sanctuary in the city and I haven’t seen anything like it at any other hotel in the city. Building is also rated LEED Gold
– Like many other reviews mentioned, the room is HUGE compared to standard hotel sizes, including a very roomy bathroom. The floor to ceiling windows make the rooms bright and airy and the view from the upper-level floors is AWESOME. I would just sit and look out the window. Bed is also very comfortable.

The hotel was recently remodeled (apparently within the last three years) and it is fresh, clean, cleverly and attractively designed. The rooms are spacious with lots of natural light (the hotel is also LEED certified), too. The restaurant has a great menu and breakfast buffet and the bar is capable of serving any drink you can conjure up. Throw in great service, a surprisingly nice, new and decent-sized fitness center and a location within the city that is convenient to great restaurants and fun shopping and both my wife and I were more than satisfied.

We know the Firmdale hotels from London so we were excited to try their American way and to visit a LEED-certified hotel.

We were not disappointed – Everything in this hotel was charming and beautiful.

We simply love:
-the design of the hotel with the tall warehouse style windows, the individually designed rooms and the very impressive oak-tree floors.
-the huge and very comfy bed,
-the large walk-in closet, – everything smelled and felt fresh and new,
-the Miller Harris scent in the bathroom
– the first morning we had breakfast in the room – delivered exactly as ordered – plenty and delicious,
-‘Probably the best Beer in the World’ – Carlsberg Beer – was also found in the mini-bar,
-the restaurant with selection of delicious wines,
-the bar with a bartender with a lovely sense of humour and more than 400 bottles.
-the atmosphere, – and the enthusiastic young employees with great attention to details.
-the location is great – just in the middle of the charming SOHO – few steps from subway, busses and Broadway.

Element New York Times Square West is an eco-friendly Manhattan boutique hotel near Times Square and Broadway in Midtown West. Our NYC hotel has 2 meeting rooms, complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi and a fitness center.

The room was very spacious, clean and eco-friendly. I had a kitchenette with a really nice size refrigerator, which allowed me to stock it with snacks and drinks for the 4 days I was going to be in town. (Also, loved the water filter that was hooked up to the faucet in the kitchenette area. Native New Yorkers love NYC water!)

The desk area was spacious and a perfect size for me to set-up my laptop and mouse and take care of business without feeling smothered. The bedroom was separate from the living and kitchen space, so it gives you are a really great feeling of a studio/one bedroom apt that you would rent in NYC. Also, the room had two televisions which made relaxing a lot more enjoyable – one in the living room and the other in the bedroom.

One of the best perks about staying at the hotel besides having a kitchenette that you can stock (7-11 is right across the street), is the complimentary breakfast that they serve. Their complimentary continental breakfast is located on the lobby level and hits the spot. The selection is great as well from eggs and bacon, to pancakes and french toast, to bagels and cereal, to yogurt, oatmeal and muffins, and not let’s not forget the coffee, tea, and juice station.

The location of this hotel is great. Only about two blocks to Times Square. I like how it is on the fringes of everything. It allows for a quiet entry/exit. No crowds in front of your hotel, yet still a one block walk to quality food and entertainment. If you stay here don’t forget to head up to the rooftop patio. Great views and good photo ops.

Breakfast was limited, but due to the number of visitors I did not expect it to be like other hotels. Bagels, yogurt and a breakfast sandwich option. Hot coffee and tea were always available. The staff is very helpful. I got an early check in and upgrade. It’s “green” eco friendly hotel. They offered points in lieu of housekeeping.

Element is part of the Westin Hotel and is an eco-friendly hotel that offers studio rooms with a kitchen with a sink and a stove, a full fridge, free breakfast, and free wifi. I have stayed I Element’s before and enjoyed the experience so decided to book the stay.

The hotel is located on 38th street, about 4 blocks from Times Square. While is close enough to many attractions, it’s off the main street so the noise pollution is reduced. When you walk up to the hotel, you first notice the outdoor seating that is available as part of the indoor lobby (part of the eco-aspect of the hotel).

My room was located right in front of the elevator, and throughout the night I could not hear the sounds. The hallway was somewhat narrow so it was only two steps from the elevator to my room. Overall, my room looked more like a compact studio, with everything in one room. As you walked into the room, along the right wall was the kitchen while along the left was the entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom was relatively big as compared to the room, and it had a sink, a toilet, plus a standing shower with a rain head. The kitchen had a full-size fridge, an oven, a microwave, a sink, plus stocked cupboards with plates, pots, and utensils. There was also a coffee pot on the counter. Right next to the kitchen, along with right-side wall, was a desk below and a TV on the wall.

eco friendly luxury hotels new york city
eco friendly luxury hotels new york city

The desk had many open drawers below it and on top had a DVD player plus other entertainment systems connected to the TV. In between the desk and the window was a mini-sofa. On the other side of the desk, was the bed. It was supposed to be a king size bed but felt more like a queen, and it provided a pretty comfortable rest. There was a small night stand between the bed and window, and on the other side of the bed was the mini-closet. The closet was small in size and contained a mini safe plus a mini ironing board and a standard iron. Overall, the room was decent for one or two people but it was narrow and tiny – a standard compact New York studio.

Hotel amenities included free in-room wifi, for as many devices as you need and the speed was pretty fast; free breakfast throughout the week and free happy hour Monday thru Thursday – I went on a Monday morning and the breakfast was very crowded and all the items needed to be refilled multiple times; a well-stocked gym; a business center; a laundry room; and an outdoor patio.

Overall, the hotel provided a lot of amenities and was conveniently located. The additional amenities, both inside the hotel and inside the room, were appreciated and were a positive aspect.

The rooms are spacious by NYC standards. Each is equipped with a small kitchen with full sized refrigerator, 2 burner stove, and microwave. I even has a dishwasher. The refrigerator really came in handy for storing and reheating leftovers (which my 14 year old daughter ate for breakfast). Food is expensive (even with Groupon and Livingsocial coupons) so we didn’t want to waste anything. I would expect if one was staying in NYC for an extended business stay or travelling with family you would find this a bonus. Our room was on the 38th floor, rear facing and the view is nice. Front facing, I think we would have seen the Empire State Building, but our view isn’t that bad (will address this more later).

The hotel is “eco friendly” and has cool toilets that you can do a half flush to save water. Lighting is energy saving fluorescent type. There is a big push to recycle. I applaud their efforts to be as green as they can be.

There is a rooftop lounge where, if you peek around one corner, you can see the top of the Empire State Building.

Eco-friendly, modern quirkiness are the first words that come to mind. My daughter and I were there last weekend. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful terrace. Got happy hour beer and pizza and didn’t need dinner. Great view of the Hudson River from our huge window. Staff was helpful and friendly. It was small, but didn’t matter. Push a button and the bed flattens out and there were little niches and pockets and places for everything.. Very well located. Thank you for a great experience – I’m so glad we discovered it.

What an awesome stay. I think the theme of the rooms is sort of like a boat since they’re referred to as “cabins”. The space is a fusion of Japanese style space cleverness with the modern feel of a space age hotel.

Location is great in the Hells Kitchen neighborhood and a CVS is conveniently located across the street. Only a couple block walk to Times Square and really any subway station line you need to get to.

Rooms were clean and had some really cool features. There was a towel warmer (I never knew I needed one until I experienced it), adjustable bed, eco-friendly toilet, and plugins/aux cables to play your music.

The modern, clean room, was reasonably priced. The shower was eco-friendly and comfortable. The head of the bed adjusts to sofa height at the touch of a button, which is nice for reading. (There is no bathtub, which for me was not a problem.) The room, or “cabin” was relatively small, but because of the clean design, it did not feel at all cramped. Also, the white decor was very calming. Checkout through phone app was particularly convenient.

The rooms are (to me) amazing, but not for the shy. Its certainly not a mini-break for an early relationship kind of place unless you are both super chill. I say this because space is minimal. The space is perfectly designed to have purpose. There are plug sockets everywhere (hallelujah), including by the bed. Finally a hotel has realised how our nation works. I loved the sofa-to-bed. It is so damn comfy! Honestly, it wasn’t a case where you look forward to going home for your own bed. There were several lighting options, the only ones I always get grumpy with are those around mirrors for make up- but i’m hard to please- I’d love a full on hollywood vanity to get the right lighting. NO SHADOWS!….

TV and phone are in the room, but no extra bits of kettle and coffees, as these are complementary and available on the 4th floor. They do have a tray hidden in the right hand side of the bed though so you can carry them back to the room.

The bathroom is separated by a privacy curtain- this may not be enough for some people. Me and my boyfriend are super comfy so this wasn’t an issue- however my mother’s thought of not having a door separate her from my father’s toilet-time was enough to put her off coming. The shower is amazing, hot and rain-style (i think thats it?) but annoyingly the shampoo and conditioner are bolted in place- which is fine, except the sink- that is not in the shower….has the body wash-which is also bolted in place. So umm… yeah.

Eco facility on the toilet- and that closes behind the shower door (so you are hidden twice for the toilet). Hairdryer and safe provided and I noticed an iron and ironing board too (though obvs didn’t use those goodies haha). As with most hotel hair dryers- if you can bring your own-do as i’m sure they’re regulated on power as it took SO LONG to dry my hair.

Blackout blinds in the room- and an amazing view. It was cheap to stay in, comfy, warm (had control for air con etc), and was nice getting a muffin in the morning.

The rooms are for the sustainable, Eco friendly person. The design is totally based on saving space, and utilizing every inch of your square footage! It works though. If you are the traditional hotel room type of person, this is not for you! The COMPLIMENTARY freshly baked muffins and coffee is a perfect start to your morning! It is right in Hell’s Kitchen and that means you are within walking distance of some wonderful, delectable, affordable NYC dining! Times Square is just a short walk as well! This is our official NYC hotel.
