Amenities include a chic restaurant/bar with frequent live music, a relaxed cafe and meeting rooms. There’s also a gym, and a rooftop pool flanked by a fireplace and buzzy bar.

This is a fantastic hotel for anyone who is young, trendy and looking to go out on Rainey street.
It’s just behind Rainey’s many bars, clubs and restaurants, so if you are planning to party hard but then retreat to a luxurious and modern hotel at the end of the night – the Kimpton will be perfect for you!

The lobby is very funky and on check in you can get a free watermelon cider – very hipster.
But all staff is very friendly and efficient and our room was even ready early.

We had some French champagne and chocolate strawberries waiting for us in our room as we were travelling for our anniversary – lovely touch!

We also got upgraded to a river view room – very nice!

The room was spacious, very clean and surprisingly quiet despite being just above the pool deck.
They must have good sound proofing which is great if you have a room above Rainey street, especially on a weekend. (Live music everywhere!)

The pool deck is the place to be, all the hot young people hang out there.

Definitely not a place for older people, but we aren’t huge partiers and still really enjoyed it.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Having a fabulous home base to explore a great city is the hallmark of a terrific 4 day getaway. The hotel itself is beautiful, well appointed, and true to Four Seasons branding–a luxury hotel. The lobby is elegant and understated and smells of delicious fragrance. The staff is PHENOMENAL! The team anticipates your needs even before you know you have them. They are approachable and available without being overbearing.
Subdued, maple toned and utterly Texas, the Four Seasons Austin is a robust luxury property right on the river. The lobby cocktail bar is always hopping, and the restaurant downstairs offers a sophisticatedly restrained take on American cuisine with a strong Texas undertow.
The rooms continue to the butterscotch palette.
The beds are firm, the linens luxurious. The bathrooms provide plenty of room for two people to get ready at the same time, or one person to have an unwinding time before getting ready to face Congress, Sixth Street or the State Capitol.
Beyond a state of the art workout room, there is a walking trail along the river that passes by the hotel for a beautiful run/jog/hike. There is also a boathouse within easy reach. AND at sunset, watch the bats fly from under the bridge.
As a respite from Austin’s go-go-go pace, this is the old school brand of luxury. Many newer properties have been built, but none matches the Four Season for elegance that’s as cozy as it is sophisticated.
Stayed her for a conference and I was very pleased with the hotel. Location is ideal and right in the heart of downtown, yet set off from street enough that you feel secluded. From check in to check out the hotel staff were amazing and attentive.
Great recommendations for restaurant and sites to see. Housekeeping was wonderful, they even replaced my nearly empty tube of toothpaste with a new one. Nice touch! Workout room was spacious with plenty of machines and weights to choose from. Back patio and pool area is nice and secluded from the path next to the river. Room was well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Amazing technology points with power plus and usb connections both at the table and both bedside nightstands. Would absolutely make this my home base on my next visit.

Every single employee I interacted with (front desk, cleaning staff, concierge, IT, waitstaff, etc) was professional, friendly and got their jobs done quickly and even better than expected. The building is clean and beautiful, within easy walking distance to the evening bat viewing bridge, 6th Street, the capitol and everything in between. I highly recommend it. The conference itself went smoothly, efficiently, and was eco-friendly, which made me glad. The food was better than I expected at a conference as well.
This hotel is an example of luxury and five-star service beyond comparison. Starting with check-in, Nicholas at the front desk was so kind to us and helped us take advantage of as much of the hotel as we could. I highly recommend seeking him out. The room service quality was impeccable, and our city-view corner room couldn’t be beat. All the staff at the hotel were very kind. The bar had a wide selection of cocktails and (especially good for us non-drinkers) mocktails that were designed to mimic the taste and mouthfeel of hard liquor. It’s a unique hotel that is a must if you plan on staying in Austin.
Absolutely stunning hotel. Clean, bright, open and airy. I love the room color palette…navy, white, and gold accents. We stayed in a double queen corner room on the 26th floor and I’m sure people will get tired of me raving about it. The VIEW!!!!! Not only could I see the Colorado River that we canoed that morning before check-in, you can see the entire city, Rainey Street, the Capita building and the clock tower on the UT campus. The floor to ceiling windows in the corner room were worth every penny. The beds were very (VERY) comfortable. Nespresso maker in room. Stocked mini bar with sensors.
There is a fridge in the room but it’s stocked with their items. You can call the front desk and get a fridge brought up to the room. Robes and safe in closet. Plenty of light for reading. The only complaint we had is that the A/C unit was very loud, loudest we’ve ever heard in a hotel room. We checked out the pool at around 5 on a Sunday night and it was packed with not a seat to be found. You need a room key to access the pool but the gates were open in two places. Towels available at the pool. We will definitely stay here again. Rainey Street is only a 4 minute walk. Be prepared to pay $36 for self parking or more for valet.
